Kamen Rider Stats

If you have been on the Kamen Rider wiki, you'll have undoubtedly noticed that each rider has a specific set of statistics for their forms; punching power, running speed, kicking, etc. But what I am curious of is what they are based on.

Some make sense, such as forms and riders specializing in power and melee having great strength and defense, but poor agility and speed; ex. Sagozo, HeatMetal, and Dogga.

But there are other: for example - Kamen rider Beast hyper having punching and kicking power that far exceeds the White Wizards (an odd remark considering that none of those riders punched anything because they wore rings) but still got bested. While the White wizard may be more experienced, Beast's "superiors" stats should have at least enabled him to put up something resembling a fight.
And no, I'm not dumping on Beast, I thought he was awesome, I'm just stating something I noticed

So what are your take on these Stats, and how they play into the Rider's fighting ability?

The stats, since around Kabuto at least, don't count any special abilities of the Riders (for example, Kabuto's speed doesn't include Clock Up), so they have an excuse for the numbers not matching up the show's action. White Wizard (well, all Wizard Riders, although White Wizard only shares his own with the Mages) has some parts of his suit that are described as amplifying his magical power in the official website, but that wouldn't be demonstrated by those numbers.

Also, the wikia is using official numbers, but they didn't copy the observation from the official profiles that the punch numbers are actually unknown, and are just estimates.

Still, Wizard seems to be one of the shows where the raw official numbers go in a very different direction from the actual show's story, like how the mages are bellow Wizard's base forms in official stats, but in the show they're described as being around the Dragon form's level. And then there's obviously White Wizard matching Infinity and not just being stronger than Wizard's base forms.

I was under the impression that the stats were mostly just made up arbitrarily.

The stats are part of the setting material of the show, it's just that the writers can ignore them without repercussions. The one example that makes it obvious is how Inoue ignored the stat changes of Agito's first two forms, and treated them just as weapon forms. However, years later, Kobayashi in Decade's Den-O episodes wrote each Agito form following those official stats, with Flame being like Kuuga Titan and such.

Same goes to the detailed spec descriptions, like how W CJX had its official description mentioning that the "X-Typhoon" part of W CJX's belt could power up W by receiving wind, and we see that happening months later in the W movie.

Or like how Decade Violent Emotion was able to defeat Kuuga Ultimate, despite Kuuga Ultimate having these statistics

Punching power: 80 t.
Normal kicking power: 100 t.
Maximum jump height: 50 m. (164 ft.)
Maximum running speed: 100 m. per 2 seconds (328 ft per 2 seconds)

That's why I mentioned the spec details in my first reply in this thread too. Decade's description, especially, is filled with "x is made from a strange mineral called Divine Ore" and, both knuckles and boots mention that they amplify his striking power.

Although base Decade has fairly low stats if you look at the raw numbers of his punch and kick power, the description of his armor goes on to say that it (the armor, not the user) can't be damaged by attacks with force bellow 50 tons(well, this is for the armored parts), can withstand absolute zero and heat of 6000℃. And that's all base Decade.

Like I said above, the raw base stats are more meaningless than ever nowadays, since Kabuto at least, because they stopped including special abilities in them (For example, Faiz Axel included the Start Up speed), and there's often descriptions about power amplifiers in their specs, which wouldn't be counted there. Still, it's also true that the writers could always just disregard them completely, like in Agito's case.

All I know is that the Blade Riders are wimps in their base forms. I actually think they're supposed to be the weakest non-joke riders in the franchise. And you know what? I actually buy that, watching the show, they do feel like they have less raw power than other riders. Rather nice to see that whoever writes the stats and whoever writes the show are on the same page.

It's because Blade Riders uses the Rouze cards to enhance their abilities. Like Blade has Slash for his Sword, Beat for punching, Kick for kicking etc.
