I honestly think that the show would have benefited from making Ren the mentor and Shinji the sidekick like in Dragon Knight instead of making them rivals with a truce in place

Ouja so should have been dead before Knight ever got the chance to steal a car and pick him up. If this was realistic those cops would have shot him full of holes the minute he punched out the first cop and ran, instead of just walking around waving their guns with threats that were obviously empty by that point.

Ryuki's cops are a joke.

Speaking of guns, where the hell did he pick up that handcannon he had when he had all those people hostage? I didn't see any cops carrying a gun that big, and in Japan it's illegal for civilians to own guns at all!

It's possible he has connections (he was able to afford Super Lawyer for his trial, after all), but it'd be good to have that kind of thing established NOW instead of later, if at all.

Yeah, this is pretty much one of my only complaints with Ryuki, Ouja survives way longer than he should have.

They just didn't think it was the right time.

If this was Kuuga's cops, Ouja wouldn't have lasted two minutes.

I really liked Asakura's/Ouja's character. I can't even honestly call him a villain, he was just an extremely entertaining character.

Ryuki was a weird series for me. I pretty much hated the main three characters, except Shinju in a a couple of specific episodes (ex: the Time Vent ep), but I absolutely loved the most of its supporting cast, from Tezuka to Goro, most of them were awesome. And as far as I'm concern, Kanzaki is one of the better KR villains.

Asakura did murder people and he was the one with the most kills in the war. I would call him a villain.

Shinji during the Time Vent was one of the coolest events to ever happen in anything.
