Kamen Rider Ryuki: Shattered Reflections (RPG Thread)

As Takano sipped his coffee calmly, he noticed the priestess had left. Well, so much for getting more information out of her, he thought. And I WAS actually trying to help. But she's too fragile mentally, and unless she gets it together, she isn't going to survive the Mirror World.

But that said, he would still have to keep an eye on that girl. She did say something about Kanji before she just lost it and became a nervous wreck, and she was the first clue he had found about his little brother since... well, since ever. And besides, the girl seemed innocent enough, and he wasn't interested in getting innocents killed, even if they were Riders.

This Erika Midorikawa who was glaring at him, however, was a different ball game.

Smart girl... he thought. But too impatient. He stole a glance at the girl's companion leaving the cafe, and saw the anxious expression on the girl's face. And not very good at hiding your intentions either, are you?

For all her sweet looks, this girl was temperamental and volatile like a dynamite. And for all her words, she didn't care for the priestess, and obviously cared much less for the fact that her male companion just left the cafe chasing after that same priestess.

Takano had seen these kind of people before; they were everywhere in the so-called "high society" that his politician family dealt with all the time. The typical rich spoiled brat. Typical, he added, and boring.

"You're right," Takano admitted. "I'm not her teacher. On the other hand, I'm not sure that you're her friend either." He smiled politely. "Of course, right now I think you have other concerns." He nodded in the direction of the cafe's door, "Your boyfriend - Takashi, wasn't it? - just went through that door and left.

"Now, do you want to sit here and chat with me some more, or do you want to go after him? It's your choice."

Erika just scoffed at Takano's attempt to change the subject. "Don't try to get out of this. Takashi won't leave me here, he's just going to check on that poor, unfortunate girl. He'll be back." Erika said almost mockingly. "Now you don't have to answer me. I can think of plenty of reasons a man your age would want a girl like that around you...and all of them make you look bad, mister." Erika loved to play mind games with people when she could. She got a kick out of twisting the facts around and watching the pain that it caused to the person she told them to. She is as much a mental sadist as she is a physical one. "It's none of my business, though. Everybody has different tastes...no matter how depraved."

A waiter soon came by and Erika quickly gave her order for two, hoping what she picked out would satisfy Takashi when he got back. After the waiter left, Erika just kept her gaze fixed on Takano, waiting for his response to her accusations.

On the other side of town, KR Scissors emerged from a puddle in a deserted alleyway, removing the deck from his belt as the orange armor disappeared. His little encounter with Erika had caused him to rethink this partnership, especially if she was going to be like that. She seems too unstable to be a reliable partner. I'll need a back-up if I ever want to get those two Riders. Luckily, there are others out there who are with a deck who would be more than willing to help. Though he was planning on betraying Erika sometime, he did have Volcancer watch over her in case one of those Riders did happen to show up. Now, all he had to do was find someone who was going to cooperate and not chop his head off when he slept. Ryusei reached into his pocket and pulled out the list, reading off the next name on the list.

"Nana Hatsuyuki... shrine maiden. I guess they aren't all so pure after all." Ryusei folded the list and placed it back into his pocket, walking out of the alley and stealing a bicycle that someone had forgotten to lock. Soon, he was off on the road and was headed toward the nearest shrine... only to stop a few blocks away to see Erika's lover talking to a school girl outside of a cafe, the vague image of Erika coming through the window. I guess I didn't have to go far. That lover of Erika is more than likely talking with Femme right now and doesn't know it. Of course, it doesn't take a moron to see that her schoolcase has her name written on the side. Ryusei got off his bike and casually approached the girl with his usual emotionless face.

"Nana Hatsuyuki? I'd like to talke to you."

Takano laughed. "What I want," he said, "is a piece of information from the priestess, and I brought her to this cafe because it happens to have a nice comfortable setting.

"But why do you care who I am, Midorikawa-san?" Takano asked. "You are not the priestess's friend, and what I want to know from the girl is frankly none of your business. As far as you're concerned, I am just a random businessman, and you're a famous idol singer. I don't see what it is that connects us."

"And by the way," Takano sipped his coffee again, "for someone who tries to be a sweet girl to the public, you do have a temper. Didn't you have a fight with that redhead sitting over there a couple of tables over?"

Hatsu kept quiet after leaving the restaurant, frankly she tried not to think about anything that just happened. It was hard not to but she thought about it anyways, The women that tried to kill her, the lying man named Takahashi, a world full of monsters, and most of all if she upset Takashi, a person who's been looking out for her since her parent's died. Either way it was a long walk back to the shrine but she was used to it; she do it almost everyday since she doesn't really want to waste any preciously earned money on public transportation.

She walked slowly " Hatsu what's the matter? this isn't like you usually your very cheerful" Takashi approached from the back, his presence stopped the girl from taking another step. " it's...it's nothing Takashi I just wanted to go back to the shrine...I have errands to do..um.." Hatsu said before she was interrupted "you're really bad at lying you know that right?" Takashi said trying to get a look at the girl's face. Hatsu looked away "I wish I could tell you but ...I need sometime to think.." Hatsu said and then walked away. "Fine I'll leave you alone now but I'll be visiting later" Takashi said and went back to Erika. "She's a strong girl...I'll just leave her alone for now"

Not being able to tell Takashi how she felt cause her to become very sad, and somewhat angry with everything that caused her to be in this condition today, she wasn't sure what to do or how to feel, she just had an emotionless look on her face. Truthfully she was quiet frustrated and was just bottling it up inside. Another stranger approached her at the wrong moment and the wrong time, after he ask to speak to her Hatsu just burst out in an angry frustrated shout " WHAT DO YOU WANT?"

Subaru decided to go to the flower shop and get some flowers for Sabrina, his girlfriend. He saw the cherry blossom flowers she loved and bought a bouquet for her. "That'll be 20$ sir." The girl at the register said as he took out a 20 and gave it to her. "I know she'll love these." He said smiling as Dragblacker appeared in the mirror of the shop growling. "You just keep your mouth shut" He whispered so he didn't draw attendtion to himself. "I'll destroy Ryuki in time but for right now Knight is my biggest concern and so is that Raia" He said then got on his motocycle and rode off towards the hospital.

Redhead? He doesn't mean... Looking over her shoulder, Erika saw Haruhi and another man at a table. Looking back at Takano, her tone became even more hostile as she lowered her voice, not wanting anyone to hear this but him. "You were at the shrine...what were you doing there?!" Her tone then suddenly became more calm as she figured it out. "Unless...you know what that priestess really is...yes...that explains it. That explains it quite nicely."A sick smirk then developed on her face. Looks like I found another rider...I wonder how he sounds at the brink of death? Hearing the cafe door open, Erika's smirk disappeared as she looked behind her, seeing a disappointed Takashi.

Her attitude doing a complete 180 as he approached, Erika suddenly looked concerned. "What is it? Did you find out what's wrong with her?" Takashi shook his head. "No...I didn't. She's a strong girl...but I still need to check on her later. Somethings really bothering her..." The green-haired woman then kept up the ruse, by supporting him. "It's Ok. We'll find out together. I really hope she gave my proposal some thought..." Erika's thoughts weren't as sweet, however. I hope she agrees to live with me...It'll be fun! For me, of course...her, not so much... The food that Erika had ordered for the two of them arrived and the buxom woman began eating her turkey sandwich as if she never went off on Takano...

Mentally, Takano chuckled. Her boyfriend comes back and she's all sugar and honey. How predictable. Still, this girl could be a little troublesome in the future. From what Erika just said, it was pretty easy to figure out that she either knew something about the Mirror World, or she was a Rider herself. And Takano was betting that it was the latter. After all, that would explain why she was fighting with that redhead.

Well, the upside was that despite being conniving, this Erika was also far too arrogant and impetuous. Someday, Takano thought, that would be a weakness that she would rue.

In the meantime, he wasn't worried about her making a move. After all, EvilDiver would be there to counter anything she would try with her Contract Monster. And with the redhead - She was Knight, wasn't she? - also here in this cafe, it would stupid of her to try anything now.

Or so Takano thought. Assuming, of course, that she was rational enough. But with her temper, who could know?

That said, it was a little unnerving to Takano that so many Riders were all gathered together in the same place, and all in the same day. Coincidence? Possibly, but Takano doubted it.

It couldn't be a coincidence either that the Roach monsters just happened to attack a shrine when so many Kamen Riders were nearby. Mirror Monsters were predators by nature, and predators liked easy prey. So why go after a Kamen Rider instead of a human, let alone six of them? The little critters might have been annoying and they might have numbers on their side, but at the end of the day they were outclassed by the Kamen Riders.

Of course, there was the priestess, who despite being Femme was really no better than a regular human being since she couldn't fight. Still, the rest of the Riders there were more than capable of defeating the Roaches. And at the end of the day, that fight was more like a feeding frenzy for the Contract Monsters of the Kamen Riders there. Quite a bit of life forces were consumed.

The priestess had implied that his brother Kanji was somehow behind this. She had told him that Kanji was the one who handed her a card deck, giving her Rider powers. So was he behind the Rider War too? More importantly, why would he?

Nevermind. I'm not going to think about it now.

After all, sitting in front of him was not only an idol singer, but also the famous Kyoto Takashi, driver for Sakura Racing NSX. Thinking about the GT series brought back memories...

"When is your next race, Kyoto-san?" Takano suddenly asked, somewhat surprising the other man. "I'm sorry, but it's been a while since I have keeping up with the Japanese GT races. My brother was a fan, and he used to drag me along. That was some time ago though."

P.S.: Everyone's busy, huh? No new posts for 2 days now :)

Takashi looked over to Erika who decided she was going to try to prevent him from answering by feeding him the other half of her sandwich. As he took a couple of bites and a drink of water, he smiled and answered the man.

"Well the next one is actually at Fuji Speedway, we've been testing some new car as well but I prefer the NSX. I mean it was the best car for 2007 season I saw the ARTA Car broke the record even I couldn't do that, though I didn't think you be a race car fan you look like some one that would rather be watching the stock market"

Takashi answered Enthusiastically before Erika passed him another piece of her sandwich, which only invited him to eat more. "Thank you" he said to her distracted from the man that was trying to speak to him.

Subaru walked into a hospital room where a young woman was sleeping but she was hooked up to a machine that helped her breath. "Hey Elie sorry I was gone for so long I had things to take care of but I got you your favorite flowers" He said fighting back the tears in his eyes. "Anyway I thought I stay here for a couple of hours and keep you company until dark is that ok?" He asked the girl who ofcourse didnt answer. "Thanks..." He said as he pulled up a chair and sat down
