Is there a reason why episodes 29 and 30 were kind of weird? Just wondering because they stood out a lot, not in a bad way, personally I thought they were funny.

I still have ten episodes left, and the specials so I don't know if there are any more like those episodes

That specific pair of episodes seems to be weird in a lot of KR shows. Blade had the one where Hajime lost his memory and the battle between the two snack stands, Kabuto had the "Dark Kitchen" arc. Both were strange as all hell, with a lot of comedy.

And more recently OOO have the anniversary episode, and W had the Nightmare dopant episodes.

It's sort of a tradition at this point now

Episodes 29 and 30 were written by Inoue, rather than any of Blade's main writers.

Well, the same explanation is still valid. Inoue episodes. Although Inoue actually wrote quite a few Ryuuki episodes, not only those two, even if he wasn't the main writer.

I think now it's quite of a tradition to have some more comedic and "filler" type of episodes around the 30 mark. For me, sometimes it's good to have those - it's like taking a break out of a real serious and dark story, but sometimes when the series is already light-hearted, it's kind of dragging.

But Ryuki's 29 and 30 were hilarious. Love those :laugh:

Indeed. I stopped watching Kabuto for about a month after I've seen it.

This has to be one of the cases where the other Heisei shows did better than Kuuga.
Even though some might hate them, most people enjoy those 2 wacky episodes that we get each year.
In Kuuga however, we had to sit through 2 episodes about a random boy running away from home to see his old neighbourhood... UGH!
