Kamen Rider Rey

An interesting rider, with an awesome design. I just have one question:

What is his motif?

I know that his name means cold, and he is covered with gold claws and fur, but every where I look, nothing states his motif.

Is he based off of a yeti? Or some other mythological creature?

Can anyone answer this for me?

some people say Yeti and some others say Owl, I like to think it's both.

There is nothing owl-like about Rey. He's supposed to be a Yeti through and through.

I really wish Rey was in the series rather than Saga.

Yeah, a rival was something Nago needed through the whole show. I would have taken Takato over Kengo any day. It would also have been interesting to learn more about the 3WA and their way of doing things.

Considering Kiva's riders and beasts are based off classic horror movie monsters and such, I'd say Rey is a Yeti/Abominable Snowman/Bigfoot Rider. The claws, the fur, and the teethy mouth.
