Is there a definite reason to why there's a meme of putting Pretty Cure together with Kamen Rider? I've heard different reasons like a voice actress having used to be the little girl in Black RX, something about "honorary tokusatsu", and that Pretty Cure and Kamen Rider air alongside each other on Japanese TV.

But I think that there's more to it than that. So anyone know why?

There's that - Cure Black's VA was a guest in Black. Not to mention Pretty Cure being viewed as a distaff counterpart to Kamen Rider, stylistically speaking.

It's considered more like Sentai for girls - it's based around a team of colour-coded heroines, and is aimed at young girls of about the same age as Sentai's target audience. And since Sentai is a sister show to Kamen Rider, Pretty Cure gets paired with Kamen Rider as well. And, yes, it airs in the same morning slot as SHT, after Kamen Rider.

I do wish it wasn't marketed as "Sentai for girls" though. It's really not the same thing. It's a magical girl anime, not tokusatsu.

I didn't say anyone had said that. I said it's presented as if it were. That's why they announce the new Sentai and Precure at the same time, they promote both shows together, etc. It is marketed to girls of the same age as Sentai's target demographic of boys. KamenRiderPegasus compared the show to "Kamen Rider for girls", so I said it's more like a counterpart to Sentai - Kamen Rider is for a slightly older audience than Sentai/PreCure.

But I personally wish it weren't promoted alongside Sentai and Kamen Rider, since it is an anime, even if it shares some elements in common with them.
