I think a lot of people take it as a personal insult if you don't like what they like, and act accordingly. Unfortunately.
Yeah, and that's a really weird approach. I mean, don't get me wrong: If someone says they hated Blade, thought W was "just okay", and then praises Faiz, I'm not going to insult them or anything, but when they start to recommend something it does tend to kinda filtered out. We're clearly not interesting in the same thing, after all.
As far as OOO's...notes thus far:
- I like Eiji. He's different from Shotarou and more along the lines of Kenzaki or Godai. He's a very good hero, and he's not stupid--he worked out that Ankh needed him, and refused to allow Ankh to ignore humans in danger.
- The main villain bites. He's the evil Owner, and I'm not impressed. Still, the hints about what OOOs actually is were interesting. Past infinity...OOOs. Silly, but okay.
- They're really working the "Greeed" angle for the sake of selling toys. OOO's is a series of excess, from the main villain to the Yummys to the way Ankh wanted the monster to grow larger so he could gain more XP from it, to the freaking candroids which apparently have to come out by the dozens.
- Count the medals? That's going to become ridiculous later, unless there's a cap to the number of medals Eiji can have.
The fight scene kinda sucked, but I expect that from a giant fight in Rider this early on. I'll be watching OOOs 3, clearly.
