so after watching episode 1 a few times... i noticed that Eiji being dimwitted is playing a big part with him wearing the belt. first ankh, when he was contemplating if he should use Eiji, and right after he henshined, the Mantis Yummy was like "that idiot!" and ankh with his "Yes, just as i'd hoped." so the consequences must be pretty grave. i have a feeling its going to be similar to Blade.

Before that, the Yummy told Eiji that if he listens to Ankh he'll be sorry. I'm beginning to think that the more Core Medals Eiji collects, the more he'll loose himself, especially since the medals powered by desires. It might get worst once OOO reaches his power-up form. Right now Eiji doesn't have any goals.

So far I like the villains of OOO. There are five Greed and create Yummies to compete against eachother and Eiji like a puppet for Anku until he becomes perfect. It feel like combination of few Kamen Rider series like the Zect Troopers looking motorcyclist. The scene where Happy Birthday song is played while Greed attacks felt like Faiz. Also I heard the museum will be helping OOO sort of like Kuuga and the Greed remind me of Grongi, which both are like ancient tribes that figth eachother. So another museum again, but good things is not ripoff of Sonozakis. Right now there don't seem to be any room for new rider, but if there is probably is Shintaro.

So, what you're telling me is... eventually he'll have to come up with a goal, maybe in a dramatic fashion during the finale. Kinda like another rider who had no wish but eventually had to come up with some during the f... *gets hit* :loltongue:

I dunno, I thought Ryotaro was a better-realized character than Wataru. With Wataru, I got the feeling a lot that the staff knew they could take him in several directions and never quite settled on which one.

Ryotaro's character growth didn't seem very well "displayed" though. Even though it seemed in "Saraba Den-O" that Ryotaro finally discovered his inner bravery or something like that which made him appear to have a nutsack.......there was still some aura that he gave off where it appeared that Ryotaro will still collapse on the floor when someone pushes him with their index finger.

Wataru, despite the crazy directions that he was being pulled around throughout the entire series, his growth seemed a lot more displayed IMO. I mean, he's had his moments where he regressed back into his little ball of shame, but he always seem to come out even better than before he shriveled himself up. Especially in the last few episodes of Kiva (still didn't like the Time Travel crap), they showed Wataru as a true changed man. Wataru displayed an aura, a swagger, determination.........everything that is a result of his character growth. To some or a few, it may have felt sudden.........but after seeing his own father risk his life for him (or whatever life changing **** he went thru during the Time Travel), it caused Wataru to completely fix a majority of his mental flaws and he came out to be a more stronger, confident man.

To be honest, that's how most people usually begin to change themselves in real life. Life changing events such as a father risking their life to protect their kid or seeing the person they love die in front of their eyes, it can definitely result in a dramatic change in a person's confidence.

Not to say that never happened to Ryotaro, I mean......his sister's life was in danger towards the end of the Den-O tv series as I last recall, so it caused him to undergo some change as well. But Ryotaro's change didn't seem very well executed as Wataru's, where you can clearly see in his body language that he truly changed.

Really cause I thought Wataru's character development went like this:
Episode 1: Shun in who wears a mask when he goes outside.
Episode 2: ZOMG I dress normal and I have like 4 friends and hang out in a cafe and I'm pretty normal just kinda shy.

I just saw the episode. It was decent, but I guess nothing can really follow Double at this point unless it was incredible. I don't really take it as a Kamen Rider series for now, but if it wasn't Kamen Rider and it was something new and unrelated, I would think this was quite good. Looks like special effects are on the rise yet again and this one's going to depend on it to pull through the series, but we'll see.

I beg to differ. The 11 Openings before it were better.

Especially W's Opening sequence.

Don't get me started on the song. I usually get excited by the Opening themes of KR, but OOO just falls flat. >_>

I think that once he becomes OOO, he will discover what his goals are. But at the same time it could cost him big time.

Personally, I think OOOs' opening is better than Kiva's. Altho OOOs' opening theme teased me by the instrumental & chorus from both the press conference and commercial promos for being something really awesome, I kinda became disappointed when I heard the actual theme itself when I saw the first episode of OOOs. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be, but I don't hate OOOs' opening entirely.........unlike to Kivas.

Which brings me back to my other point, Kiva's opening IMO just sucked that bad to me.........it was the only odd-ball song that stuck out from Kiva's incredible music soundtrack. "Break The Chain" is an utter disappointment compared to all of the Tetra Fang and Individual System songs. ****, Break The Chain was an utter disappointment when you compare it to the other Heisei Rider openings........IT SUCKED THAT MUCH FOR ME
