Oh, grow up. She has no personality. Her only role in the show as is Eiji's emotional support and possible/probable future love interest. And it is not good writing - a lead should do something useful and their role should not be dependent upon what another character does
While I see the point you're making here (a loose adaptation of the Bechdel Test, it seems, that female characters should serve a purpose beyond developing male characters) and even agree with it to a point, I rather think that you're punishing Hina (and countless other female characters) far more harshly because she's a woman.
What is Ankh's role if not to provide Eiji with exposition and the means to transform? What is Kougami's role if not to introduce the various gadgets into the show? I understand that these characters were not created in a vacuum, and yes, sometimes there will be sexist (or racist or classist or whatever) influences on a character and being penalised or accused of "spoiling people's fun" for pointing it out is majorly sucky. But I feel like you've gone veering off wildly in the other direction, and now you just hate 99.9% of all female characters because they don't fit into your narrow definition of what a "worthy" female character is. This is not feminism. This is just more hatred of women under a different guise and though you're obviously entitled to express your opinions in a public forum, I am getting tired of seeing you insult huge swathes of women, not just fictional but real women (because shy women, demure women, women who like cooking, women who don't always speak up, they all exist in real life too) every time you post.
To come back on-topic! The fact is, Hina is more than just emotional support. Girl's got her own life, her own friends, her own views. When Eiji tries to protect her from Ankh, she steps in and says "hell no, I don't need you to do that, I can do it myself!"
Heck, we know more about her and her life than we know about Eiji.
