Alternate Trigger
Do you have an appointment?
So while watching the Megamax movie, i suddenly became aware of a link between Kamen Rider and DC Comics that i would like to run by you. It's a long story so hold in there.
As of late, I've been getting into DC's New 52, basically a reboot of all of their comics to issue #1. It was to try and win new readers over so that people could hop on without being too confused. Parts of continuity were rewritten while other parts stayed the same.
Batman is still Bruce Wayne.
Superman is still weak to kryptonite.
Blackest Night still happened.
There where changes but let's get back on topic. Because some of that continuity still is there, i was researching some of the past events in the DC universe. When it was revealed that none of the crisis events happened i looked into the Infinite Crisis stuff, another less successful attempt to reboot the DC comics for new fans. What happened in a nut shell, if i understood it correctly, is that the entirety of DC's multiverse was forced into one universe. This didn't last long, since they quickly created a whole bunch of other universes again but the idea was to keep stuff from the old continuities but also appeal to new readers with the heroes being more up to date.
It is about this time that I started seeing similar connections with another series, specifically Kamen Rider Decade.
This is when my actual theory comes in. SPOILER ALERTS!!!!!
During the course of Decade, the team goes through multiple worlds, forming a multiverse for the Kamen Riders. However, towards the end, due to the deaths of each worlds Kamen Riders, the worlds began to crash together, destroying each other so that the bad guys could rule over the new, rider free world. Sound familiar?
Now look at the Kamen Rider series before Decade. With the exception of some of the early shows in the Showa era and some stuff with Den-o, most were pretty much self contained. They didn't mention each other and for all we know, never had anything to do with each other either. That is tell after Decade.
As we've seen in many of the movies, right now i'm referring to Megamax: ooo fourze, that these riders now exist in a singular universe. In fact, many of the showa era riders are now working as a team, known as the legendary seven riders, almost like the Justice League for kamen riders and that all the new shows have a connection via involvement by Federation X
What I'm proposing is that the affects of the Decade story line towards the end might have created a universe that didn't exist before. One that has a combined history from multiple riders to become one primary world. Rider World 1.
Does this make any sense?
Please comment for any clarifications on things that might have been confusing or even better, holes in this theory so that i can refine it. I really think i'm onto something here.
