Kamen Rider Kabuto ps2 video

I'm not convinced. I've test-played virtually every Kamen Rider game up to and including Blade but none of them were really good games. Sure, the eye-candy is there but the game play has always been too limited, especially compared to other, more technical fighter games. I hope this one attains a higher level of game play but just by looking at the video I'm ... sceptical.

Yeah, the KR fighting games have always been nothing to really write home about, although I have liked them all (simply because where else are you gonna get good KR fighting in a game!). Kabuto looks like it's running off a different engine than all the other KR games, so it should be intresting how it turns out. Hopfully you can fight as both forms, and would be really cool if you could switch between the two on your own.

The original PS Kamen Rider and Kamen Rider V3 games were quite good, it was with Kuuga that they started to go downhill because they have to pump them out while the show's still on and therefore they're nowhere near as complete as they could be. Also, Genealogy of Justice, while not a straight-up fighting game, is amazing for the story and voicework alone.

I finally got around to playing the Hibiki game, and it's better than the last couple fighting games have been, so I have hope for Kabuto's.

I hate you for having played GoJ. You know that right?

Anyway, isn't there a thread somewhere about this?

I second Genealogy of Justice being a cool game! Also reminds me that I have to get back to that game to finish it. Think I'm pretty damn close to beating it as well.

:disappoin I need another PS2, specifically for the purposes of modding....

I don't think you need to mod nowadays. If you have the old bulky ps2s you can just use a swap disc, then use one of those cards that tricks the PS2 into opening the CD drive (the exact name of the card escapes me at the moment) and then replace the swap disc with the import game you want to play.

Google swapmagic, I think they have the name of the card there too. You'll probably be able to find the swapmagic disc and the card on ebay.
