And perhaps I'm still dumbstruck but I can't even recall the point of the "bad" (non-Native) Worm. They were totally unneccessary to the climax.

A common enemy for the humans and the Natives to face. With the Worm threat eliminated (or at least marginalized), the Natives then turn on the humans, demonstrating that they are just as bad as the other Worms, they just have more insidious tactics.

Personally, yeah... that was easily my favorite Kamen Rider show, but I'm going to have to hand it to GARO for claiming my all time favorite Tokusatsu, on account of its story structure was just handled soooooo much better. Nothing seeme skimped or rushed and everything got its full and mind blowing finale by the end of GARO.

Everyone got a final and incredible last fight and no storylines were suddenly resolved in a single episode like what happined with Tsurugi. I thought he had one of the most compelling stories to tell, but all his mystery was solved in a several second flashback and his final fate decided that episode. Dramatic, yeah, but given the chance all these incredible characters could've been better mapped in their plotting to make their ends more fulfilling.

Like Kageyama.... he didn't deserve that end. A better end story for him would've been that he learned what it meant to be his own man, regain ZaBee and stand on his own. Yagamura also could've found enlightenment in his chosen path as Kick Hopper.

Still, overall Kagami's character development was nothing short of amazing to follow and when he first transformed it had me headbanging. The nice guy everyman finally gets his chance to become a hero and then later on he gains his Gatack paowers and gets one of the show's best costumes.

And all around those are some of the best Rider Suits i've seen if not THE best Rider Suits I've seen.

Outstanding, but not perfect, I give it 9 stars out of ten.

Kamen Rider Kabuto got me back in the tokusatsu relm. i left early 2005 cause i couldent stand Hibiki. the charicter development was beyond belieif. the suits were amazing. the attacks kicked all ass. the toys still rock and the music on 2006 kicked more ass then faiz. but not as much as Blade.

all in all i give the series a 9 out of 10.

I definately still need to pick up a Kamen Rider Gatack and Kabuto figure along with a Zector, that's for sure.

My first Kamen series.

It gets a 7.

It faultered amazingly near the end but Tsurugi pulled it through the dark times and then died.

Doesn't match up to Ryuki which gets an 8 from me and Faiz which probbaly gets a 9 or 10.

I rated it a 10. Kabuto wasn't perfect, but it has edged out 555 for my favorite Kamen Rider series. All of the characters were incredibly colorful and memorable and I loved watching them. Tendou's unceasing confidence and adherence to the path of Heaven and his constant one-upping of his fellow Riders; Tsurugi's journey to learn what it is like to be a COMMONER and rebuild the Discabil fortune; The Hoppers' simultaneous coolness and goofiness and KaGAmi's growth into a respectable hero all compelled me to keep watching. The story was strong and though the final showdown wasn't everything it could've been, the final episode tied up everything nicely. Most importantly, it was a great ride and the epilogue gave all of the characters a good end (or rather, a new beginning in most cases), except for Yaguruma, but his story ended with Kageyama's death.

Let not forget the Rider that had the least to do with the overall plot, Kazama Daisuke.

His arcs with Gon were some of the show's most compelling.

His showdown with Kabuto where he blasted, and Kabuto did his Rider Kick had me cheering in my seat! That and when Drake and Kabuto used that attack against TheBee! :buttrock:
