Kamen Rider Eve -Masked Rider Gaia-?

Yep. I read it back when it was in Tokusatsu Ace (RIP) and then picked up the two collected volumes when they came out.

It's interesting, like a sequel to Ishinomori's original series comic, but with the continuity of the later TV Riders up to ZX thrown in (and anyone familiar with both will know that they don't actually match up.) Rider 1 & 2, Tachibana, Taki etc. are their comic selves, the others are sort of a fusion of TV, other artists' comics and whatever (X-Rider has his original NG colors, for example.) It changes a couple of the goofier decisions from the end of the original comic, probably for the better.

It's pretty good, but as it's largely a text story with the occasional picture, it might be hard for most to follow. It's worth checking out if you can, but probably best suited for the completest who thrives on the comics and novel (dis)continuity. You can buy them here.

As for the title: EVE refers to the story, Gaia is the name of the hero (but only at the end, he's "Gaiborg" for most of it.)

These are the best two I got. IIRC the first one is actually fan art.

He changes into the guy on the right near the end, when he becomes a full-on Kamen Rider.

Whats the story behind this form? Looks pretty interesting.

He's sort of a failed Kaizo-Ningen experiment at first, the story is largely about him gradually becoming more and more "Rider-like". It's a pretty neat idea, having the Kaijin who becomes a Rider (since the original idea was that they were the same.)

Cyborg 009? I know Ishinomori did that series also, but all his characters don't need to look like Joe.

Like a few of his peers/predecessors/successors/etc., Ishinomori lifts his own character designs on occassion. The story also features a shapeshifter who looks like 007 (who was, as you'll recall, a shapeshifter.) If anyone remembers his Legend of Zelda comic, that bird warrior guy? That's Jet/002!

Like he said, it's not really a manga, probably more of a light novel than anything annnnd I don't believe scans would be easy to find on English sites.

Yeah. It's hard to come by info on these as it is, I haven't seen many scans even on Japanese sites.
