i need some advice for hibiki climax time and battle themes.... any ideas?
i usually never mess with the battle theme, i edit the actual stage BGM instead,
as for climax time&finisher
for hibiki: FLASHBACK (rider chips version), no edit required since the chorus explodes right in the beginning
for ibuki: that one BGM from decade's hibiki world when they gang up against the big crab(the trumpet sounds very dominant there, perfect for ibuki)
did anyone else used "chosen soldier" as V3's climax theme like me?, i did it for lulz and it surprisingly fits the finisher well...
i also used "roots of the king" as shadowmoon's theme since its weird using any song from black or RX for him...
4. how do you know which birth you are using gotou or date?
date is the one with the goofy boxing stance and milk canister for intro, gotou birth is the one that looks "normal"
anyways, finally got to play the game.
some notes from playing so far
[hide]1. the new sound effects sounds very inferior to the CH/CHW versions, at least on the PSP versions, mainly the anoying low quality electric sound during jack lightning slash, and the W driver buzzing during joker extreme
2. there's a whole lot more stage BGM than there is in CHOOO, despite having only one new arena
3. fourze's theme seems to be fairly equal between switch on and endless play(previously people were stating that switch on rarely played for them, doesn't happen to me) and is actually the only character that doesn't need a custom BGM (since endless play is awesome)
4. probably its my PSP or my ISO, but sometimes the game glitched and muted the BGM or the speeches and you need to reboot/restart the game from the XMB to fix it,
in some instances on heroes mode when there's supposed to be even scenes with dialogues (mostly on fourze and the guys from OOO) and your game glitched on the speech then the scene will not proceed normally (you must skip it by pressing start or reset the game if you want to see the whole scene)
5. amazon is probably the only rider that is made from scratch, awesome stance, movement and normals, but as a tradeoff his specials....all look the same, i can't tell which are dai setsudan and which are monkey attack...
the super dai setsudan is definitely the most awesome finisher on the showa side however, its lengthy, but not boring
6. Bamco must've really hated diend nowadays, he once again got nerfed, not just because everyone can have a tag team groove, just look at his poor movelist now, it barely scrolls down anymore
7. some of the grey gauge characters also got nerfed although not by much, like dark kabuto which can only use his super kunai gun long combo in clock up mode now, they also lessened the number of shots fired by garren in his neutral combo (the one with his trademark "falling backwards" shot).
8. the new specials for the two hoppers are a bit meh IMO, they should've kept the CHW rider jump>punch/kick too, since its quite versatile in its own
9. it's funny how they used a less violent rendition(but still awesome) of kaixa's PS2 gold smash but didn't do the same for dabuto, his finisher looks very bland in comparison, we need teh axe kick! :castlerock:
10. changing to one lifebar was a big mistake IMO, even with the life recovery thing the enemy(or you) still die too fast if you done things right (like eating a whole 4 bar tag combo, which for some strange reason doesn't scale the damage done by them), what's the point of recovering life when you're just one hit from death anyways?
plus, the tag groove shares one lifebar so tagging out doesn't change anything aside from moves, if you are near death then you are still near death when tagging with your 2nd cxharacter
11. i wonder if anyone realized yet that if you use the "showa mode/charge/powerup" and perform your super attack then it too, will be narrated if it connects...
12. i remember the early updates about the game that ichigo's trait is that he can copy other riders moves, turns out it's not true? since he only have 4 specials, none of them are can copy moves
13. not all moves got documented on the movelist, G3X's ground GX launcher for example (replaces the cerberus gatling when you're powered up)
14. the AI seems to be more hesitant in accepting your Final reflect "invitation", makes connecting with them a bit harder now...
15. the new BGM edit is MUCH better than the old one, you can now just dump everything into a single folder and edit them from in-game [/hide]
