I just want to make 1 final post about Kingranger and the TV-N board.

Here's why we should ignore them:

I just visited their board. Basically, it's people putting others down just to feel good about themselves. I think Kingranger and his buddies are people with really no self confidence. They have to resort to bossing others around on their own message board just to feel superior and get some sort of emotional high from doing so. You don't see them trying to flame people on other message boards, since they don't hold the power there. On their own board, they're jus trying to act like the boss and make others bend to their will, because it feeds their egos.

I pity them, seriously. People who have no self confidence and have to resort to bossing others around and putting them down must really feel miserable and lonely deep inside. I know some people like that, and everyone avoids them, or pretends to be friends with them for some benefits (in this case fansubs and membership to their boards). Thus, people like ForeverRed should control your emotions and just ignore Kingranger. Getting angry with him serves no purpose and flaming him won't get you anywhere. In fact, I feel that you're boosting his ego by giving him attention. Basically, Kingranger's just one big attention seeker.

I know what you mean, but it's not like that. The people you speak of aren't fond of a few Nihonians because of these people's actions. That's fair. But we ALL appreciate their subs and the work put into them and that these subs are provided to us. That's undeniable. But that doesn't mean you have to like a person when they're a jerk to you. That's what you see going on.

We all know we need their stuff and appreciate the work and result. But that won't mean we'll be okay with it if they ever treat one of us in a way we deem unfair.

J-C's right, you know... Don't get me wrong when I say I have no problems with their subs and certain people there like Toraneko, it's just that the actions of a minority of the group including its founder may slowly end up bringing the group towards its eventual destruction because they couldn't keep their egos under control...

If TV-N goes, it would be a big loss to the Toku fansub community although I'm sure there'd probably be others to takeover if that ever happened.

If certain members of the group stopped treating us like **** then maybe we'd have more respect for them but at the end of the day, they only bring the hate that people have for them and the group upon themselves...

I've stopped worrying about TVN people as people. I don't have to interact with them, so I don't. They do good damn good sub work, and that's all that actually matters.

Yeah I mean I wasn't calling anybody out or anything, but it's just like [Random Poster] is in [Random Thread] one minute talking about how much they hate KingRanger or other TV-Nihon staff and in [Other Thread] the next downloading or commenting on a TV-N release. They do have the market pretty much cornered, though.
