My question is, is every QR code really one use? How does an individual device know if a certain code has been used or not? Does it check an online registry or something? What if you turn off your iPhone's internet and register a random QR code? Has anyone actually tried this?

I've tried to register a QR code without internet access, and it gives you an error message. So yeah, it checks the code with a data base of some sort when you register the code

So what happens if your iPod crashes, or you remove the app?

If you'll want it back on later, are you saying the user is basically screwed? Since it's in the database, you can't reuse the code. Right?

I just remembered something, in One Piece AR you can't get any iems from the treasure box without a web connection.

Is this also some sort of database issue?

EDIT: It happens in Kamen Rider AR too.

My assumption (since I don't want to try it myself and risk losing my cards) is that it probably would get rid of all your data. Similar to if you delete a game off your iPod and reload it later (all save data and what not disappears)

I cancelled the darn HLJ order and ordered wafers off AmiAmi maybe I'll use the QR codes and scan some good cards off the internet (especially the OOO ones that do scanning charge attacks) :thumbs:
