Kamen Rider Agito - Talk Up!

I didn't mind her, it was the stupid bits with the ORE Journal that I hated most out of Ryuki's comic relief.

I could see you saying that about Megumi or Shimada, but Chief Editor Daisuke was one of the best things about the show. Just from that role, Kanji Tsuda established himself as a great comedic actor in my mind.

And yeah yeah everybody, Agito's story was "mysterious and good" and the characters are "interesting and good," but what people tend to overlook is the m'fu'n ACTION! Agito had the most wickedest fight scenes of any Kamen Rider show thus far.

TOLDYOUSO DK. I told you it was totally worth it. I have to thank Shougo for finally convincing me to watch it ; I wanted to know why he kept saying Faiz didn't hold a light to Agito. Well, I watched it thanks to a gift from friend who bought me CA's subbed set, and I was INSTANTLY and TOTALLY hooked.

From the characters to the fights, to the acting (in suit and character), I was blown away. The writers of Agito KNEW how to seduce (yeah, it was...seriously) their audiences and to string them along, but in a fashion that was so enjoyable and left you anticipating more. Not to mention, they weaved a masterful and even more masterfully executed plot, which left me going - OMG.

I could also see how a lot of New Gen Riders were derivative of Agito (or at least tried to be). Shouichi rocked, and I don't think a single character was wasted or left on the wayside. Even Omura had his day and his part to play.

And Bolt, Oh I'M totally with you there, buddy. The action in Agito was OFF the HOOK. :buttrock:

Oh and DK - are you watching the ones off CB? If your Korean is decent, you can watch with the soft subs...They are, to say - enlightening. ANd speaking of Cruel Angel, I'd LOVE to know what the Stunties are saying in the Stunt Talkback in the Making Of Project G4. I wonder if he'd sub those one day , or I need to learn enough Japanese to figure it out.

Video Daikaiju has Agito with english subs. Know VD i'm sure there excellent quality(both picture and subs). VD still offer VHS for those that don't like DVD-Rs.

Whole set on VHS = $88
Whole set on DVD-R = $120

VD offers discounts as well.

I am in episode 21 right now, and who's the chick with the power? What's with her secretly talking on the phone with somebody in previous episodes?

Without sub, it's hard to tell, blah. :disappoin

DK: It should be under a folder labeled : "특줄 자막" or generally, "자막", but I think in general, he divides it. He'd have to - there's SO much, you'd never find anything.

I liked him in earlier episodes (Shimada initially, as well) but his act and the entire ORE Journal scenes got old after a while. It seemed Tsuda became bored with it (I don't blame him). It didn't help that they were the dumbest journalists ever! Never turning anything concrete up until the last episode and never bothering to find out why Shinji runs out every time he grabs his ear to the mirror noise...and Megumi only made 'em stupider!

Unless you're one of those who absolutely refuses comedy in a series, Shougo also recommends Changerion! It has a weird, off-beat humor, but if you don't mind that sort of thing (and can get past Changerion's not-so-pretty design), it's a cool show. It's written by the chief writer of Agito and he had recycled a couple of his Changerion actors for Agito, the most notable being the actor who played Sawaki (it's once he arrives on the show that the series really picks up).

I'll second that, Changerion is a cool little show- quirky, but it knows it's quirky. And you'll get to see "Ouja" & "Tarantula Undead" in drag!

Anyways, Agito...amazing show, my favorite from the last couple years. I would put it at the top of the list in the other thread if the original show wasn't so damn good and X didn't have Apollo Geist & the "blowdart gun out of nowhere" episode.

Seriously though, the shows after it managed to get some parts, but Agito really does have it all- a fantastic storyline, amazingly choreographed fight scenes, good writing, and great characters- that's where Agito improved most upon Kuuga I think, having nearly all the background characters that show up and have speaking lines be important to the story somehow, and not just hanging around taking up space. Even the owner of the bakery Shouichi eventually works at is important in the plotline! I really liked how they handled the interplay between Riders, making each one a character you could sympathize with and be interested in following. The way their paths keep crossing each other was really well done.

And I have to agree about the comedy- Agito really does have the most genuinely funny comedic moments from maybe any Rider show. Specifically the Shouichi-Hikawa scenes. And actually, a couple with Houjou too, who I think is my favorite character in the show.

I loved it and I must say Kamen Rider G3 is so cool but I was little bit disappointed because he was pretty weak.

I actually said the same thing but just like Bolt said, just wait until Makoto Hikawa (Bingchuan Cheng in HK subs:laugh: ) gets the G3-X system upgrade.:buttrock:

Just like GILLS' kickass rider kick.

Yeah, I have heard about Changerion. He's the guy whose suit is like crystals or mirrors, right? There are a couple eps of Changerion available on CB; I may check it out there. And nope, I don't mind comedy in a series - ::loves carranger::
