Kamen Rider Agito - Talk Up!

Oh yeah, I forgot to ask: Keith, did you ever get your copy? If so, how is it?

Got it and it's age shows... I seen some neat stuff, but I hate that it's embarassing to show to my friends.

Relative vintage and not as clean looking as black with is video quality, but not so much like Kuuga.

I've seen maybe two episodes, but I am looking forward to watching more. I like the G3 suit.

Meh. The vid quality won't bother me, and my friends would all laugh at the show no matter how good it looked. Its Toku. :P I'm more concerned about the near 3 week wait time. Guess I shouldn't be so impatient.

Keith, you mean the vid quality? Weird. Those are R2 Rips. Mine look as good as a DVD. In fact, it was after getting the Agito Set that I realized that there is a visible and palpable difference in what frame KR is shot at compared to Sentai for example.

And Sage, Keith got his DVDS relatively fast. It can take a bit, but when you see the crazy amount of work he goes into constructing the DVD's, menus, ripping, etc. it's not a surprise. Enjoy them Keith and post your thoughts!

And note, haha, this is my 555th post. Wrong thread topic though, doh! Ahh well, Agito talkback is just as good!

Oh, I didn't mean there was poor quality.... I meant the video used to shoot the show it too close to home video looking for my tastes, like Kuuga.

I like it when it looks more film like, like Ryuki and up. Agito is jarringly cheap looking, but for people like me and the rest of us that's not big deal. That's just commenting and I like having to use my imagination. It's just that if there was a tokusatsu show I wanted to show my friends.... this wouldn't be it.

But Sage is right... my friends can barely watch GARO, sooo...

I just need some free gorram time to sit down and enjoy it. I can't wait to get into it. :anime:

The differences between the cameras Agito and Ryuuki were shot on are nearly nonexistant... I'm not really sure what the problem is unless you just have extraordinarily high standards, but it's a little insulting to call Agito cheap and compare it to a home movie.

No worries, I'm just an impatient mofo.  Especially since this will be the first series I've ever watched all the way through.

Pffft. I can't take Garo seriously either. Tendou "Plot Device" Souji is a much more believable character than that guy.

As far as this home video stuff goes, I could care less. Long as there's a nice story and lots of beatdowns handed out by the heroes.

:nono:

But you liked Blade? No budget, porn-quality Blade?

Well ya see Bolt and Shougo, I'm not trashing Agito... not in the slightest. I'm saying that I'm not fond of the video quality and saying it's home movie... I'm not saying it's shot and editted like a home movie and that it's cheap and sucks or something along those lines. I'm saying that it has the same look as if it was shot on a home digital video camera... versus being on film, which I like better. I think you know what I mean, and some blue screening was jacked to hell.

But for me that doesn't matter... means I just use my imagination, which I have no problem with. Waht I'm disappointed with is that is with all the praise this show has recieved, I thought it might be one of those I could show to friends so I could finally say, "See?! This is why I watch this!"

Anway, I'm sure it'll just take some getting used to, which I've no problem with. More Kamen Rider fun I have the better in my book.

For some people any critque leaps and dropkicks to, "My show is better than your **** show! Hahahahaaha!!!," but that's not what I do. Each show just gets appreciated on its own merits using what it has regardless of what another show does in my book.
