Tokyo, Chapter 1: Long Long Ago, 20th Century
8:30 P.M.
"Come on Aki, we're gon-"
"No." The reply was quick and short, his name is Akito Ishibashi and he hated being called Aki, at either job. Standing up slowly, he made his way across the large room from where he was working on a customer's Honda CBR600RR. Washing his hands off carefully, he passed through a door into the office and clocked out for the day and picked up his solid black motorcycle helmet, the visor as dark as the helmet and left as he pulled his leather jacket on with one hand. As he sat upon his motorcycle a moment later he paused. He sniffed the air for a moment before putting his helmet on and firing up the engine to his motorcycle, clad in white and red. Akito himself refereed to the bike as "Cyclone 1." He'd do the same thing he did every night. He'd patrol the streets of Tokyo, listening for any trouble. It was almost second nature to him as he popped the clutch and took off from his job with a screech of the tires and a quick burst of smoke from the rear tire. He remembered, somewhat amusingly, that one his co-workers refereed to him as a "madman" when riding his motorcycle. He wasn't crazy, he just knew how he could handle his bike. He felt close to his machine, so close that he never bothered to pay attention to the gauges, the sounds of the engine was the note he needed when he had to change gears.
Coming around a corner, with his knee scraping against the pavement, he heard a started gasp, then a pitched scream. His brain worked as quickly as his ears had. It was maybe a block, or block or two away. He felt his hands work on the bike as the speed increased even more, accelerating past 90, closing towards 100 rapidly as he sped through a four way stop, coming within mere inches of running into a station wagon. The sounds of the blaring horns and angry screams fell on deaf ears. By the time he reached the scene, he saw the woman, who he assumed screamed was dead. He neck twisted at an odd angle. The grey monster, which had a passing look like an Ox turned to look at Akito as he slowly climbed off his motorcycle. "An Orphnoch? I haven't killed one of you yet." Akito reached up, slowly taking his helmet off and laying it gently on the ground as he opened his leather jacket with his left hand. Strapped around his waist was a white belt, with a large grey buckle in the center. In the middle of that buckle was a red fan that was still before it quickly spun. Akito felt himself move, leaping forwards and tucking himself into a flip to close the distance to the Orphnoch. His jaw moved as he spoke, sounding a little amused, "I hope you can fight."
He was used to it by now, the fact he was covered from head to toe in body armor. It's color was dulled from blue to dull green, although the gloves and boots retained the former blue color than being dulled. A red scarf was around his neck, fluttering in the wind as he reached up and snapped the faceplate onto his helmet. He rolled his shoulders and shifted his arms, dropping first into a orthodox boxing stance before he side stepped at the charging Ox Orphnoch and snapped his left fist directly upwards, catching him under the chin with an uppercut. He shifted his arm quickly after the uppercut, deflecting a straight punch with the back of his left hand and yanking down sharply on the monster's head as he brings his right foot up and smashes the font of his boot into the side of his head. Akito dropped into a stance for a second as he saw the monster stumble away in pain. He took this short open to run for four steps before he launched himself into the air. Akito took a sharp breath before he yelled out "Tooooh! Rider Kick!" He felt the impact of the kick when his foot struck the creature in the side of the head and for a moment, felt the Orphnoch's skull break under the pressure as the creature was flung backwards through the air and landed on his back. A solid thunk sounded out as Akito landed on both feet and turned slowly to watch the creature as he reached a hand up towards the sky before blue flames engulfed his body and froze up for a moment before literally falling apart as he turned into dust. "Monsters deserve no mercy."
Slowly turning on his heel, Akito made his way back to his motorcycle, Cyclone-1 and climbed aboard and held down the throttle and brake at the same time. Once he made a small amount of smoke from the rear tire he let go and popped the clutch, feeling the motorcycle shoot forward and it's front wheel climb up from the ground.
9:00 P.M.
Akito's head turned to his side. He heard something strange, by a quick judgment, it had to be a couple of miles off so he hunkered down over the tank of Cyclone-1 and increased the speed. He'd find out the new day a picture was snapped by a traffic camera of him in Rider form speeding through a red light, doing at least 100 as he increased the speed further. Amused with himself that he was lucky enough not to suffer from tunnel vision when he started to push the motorcycle faster, watching the gauge tick over and over as it kept increased. As Cyclone-1 came up on a big hill, he gunned the throttle and leaned his body backwards, letting the natural motion carry the bike through the air in a clean jump for a few seconds before coming down first on the rear tire. By now, he knew what to listen for and directed his bike like it was part of his body with more than just normal skill through traffic, dodging through gaps that'd scare even most veteran motorcycle rider. This was how he lived, every day and night. The job didn't matter to him, there was only the next fight. He could see it now, what he heard. It was some kind of spider creature, and he was closing upon it fast. He gunned the throttle one last time, the loud exhaust note bouncing off buildings and signaling his arrival shortly.
