Thoughts on Ep. 37:

- Damn, useless marriage discussion, indeed. Aside from showing a bit of background for Ran, it basically was indeed useless. The REAL story here is how powerful GenJyuKen REALLY is compared to everything else we've seen. It sure is nothing to be trifled with.

- What was that exactly that the guys gave Ran? A gag bag or something?

- So, let's see...
Ken = Kintaros
Retsu = Urataros
Gou = Momotaros
Jan = Ryutaros

...Right?

- Is it just me, or are they giving the impression that Ken likes Ran a lot more than he lets on?

- Ooh, sexy Phoenix-Ken Mele. Too bad it's a dude in that suit, though. =\

- Damn, the Geki Kaiju got PWNED this episode.

- LOL at the Beast Arts Academy segment

For those who wondered, Miki was basically asking what would've happened if Ran accepted a marriage proposal and quit being a Gekiranger. Yup, it definitely would've been a 4-man sausage party from then on.[/hide]

Oh god. We need subs for this episode, and fast. There was so much vital information being given out about GenJyuKen that it's not even funny. I had to watch the episode twice to get everything, and even then I'm not sure my interpretation is accurate. Just one thing:

Gekiranger is the best Toku show I've seen thus far.

Edit: So RinJyuKen spawned GenJyuKen. That confuses me. If GenJyuKen is inherently evil, then why is Sugu, Jan's father, a GenJyuKen user who is good? I hope that when he appears, he'll have his own generals too. Me suspects that Tiger Daddy is currently in the coffin being dragged around by Basilisk Boy.

Looks like the coffin gets opened up in the next episode according to the Gekiranger site. So the four generals are Long, Mele, Sanyo and Byakko masquerading as Chimera Ken? This looks very interesting and I can definitely see a great ending to the show with Rio as the GenJyuOh faces off Jan.

I've recently started to watch Gekiranger from the beginning. I had passed on watching the series in-depth mainly because of Jan and his constant screaming. I hate that. But he's still a likable fellow. However, I did view the eps with Retsu's brother Gou and the intro to Gekiviolet. Since they were so good, I decided to give the show a go from the beginning. Also, the villains of the series are more intriguing, so that was also a factor. I have to say it's a good series so far (I'm up to ep 10).

As for Jan, I'm willing to bet you by episode 20-30 you'll love him. I'm the type that hates those characters ala Ban, Kai, and even Jan in the beginning but now I seriously get a kick out of his whackyness.
