And....John Steward.....YAY....seeing as how he brought so much emotional depth to JLU and the comics and cause heaven forbid we use any of the WHITE green Lanterns. GEEZ! Steel was a member of the League and he kicked butt. why can we never have Kyle?!?

Sorry, but John Stewart did bring something to the table to balance out the JLU. Wasn't just the need of a black character.
I love Kyle over John Stewart by a long shot, but at least in the JLU dynamic, the Flash character and the Kyle character would have been redundant.
Flash works best as the wise-cracking hotshot and you only need one of those. John brought a honorable everyman perspective to the table.
If they ever did a GL movie, I want Kyle. But in the JL dynamic... John actually does work better.

I'm not feeling to good about this project mainly because Bale isn't going to be Batman but on the brighter side, Welling is NOT going to be Superman which is a good thing.

Wow. If this is legit I don't know what to say. I mean hell, I've had a JL movie in my head since I was a kid but all-in-all I'd still take SR over what we almost got with Abrams costume-in-a-can or Tim Burton's EdwardScizzorSupes anyday.
This whole casting younger thing doesn't bode well either. In the comics, these heroes are grown adults. Now obviously this is another medium but still..Is the mantra now that once you hit 25 you're not allowed to save the world? You're not going to fool anyone into thinking the JL are a youth team like X-Men. That's not the freakin point of them!
If anything it makes alot more sense to cast them closer to their ages in the comics because the JL is the greatest heroes, all in their prime and peak awesomeness banding together as the single greatest force for good the world has ever known!
