Not under what "cyborg" has come to mean, no. Originally, cyborg literally meant an Organism created through cybernetic means, ie a creature that is purely mechanical but mimics the behaviours of an organism. One could very very loosely apply this to J5, but I agree he was most certainly not what cyborg has come to mean. Further, given the connotations of cyborg to modern audiences, it was a poor - if perhaps technically accurate - choice of word.

All the same, and splitting hairs aside, my inner child weeps at the news... I hope it isn't true, but part of me suspects that yes, it could easily be open for it, with WALL-E proving the lure of cute robots, and Transformers proving 80's nostalgia will pull in the fans... *sigh* Ah well, here's hoping they don't rape him too hard...

I'd watch it. As long as they don't try to make it dark, like they did with Speed Racer (though I plan on watching that too).

Yeah I know I've been hyped for that movie since August 07, it doesn't seem dark at all to me :sly: looks pretty Spy Kids style cartoony

I can just see it now: They're going to try to reimagine Johnny 5 from the original screenplay (it was originally going to be another horror film, before the filmmakers changed their minds).

Either make a sequel, or just leave it alone! It is what it is. (Personally, the second film was my favorite.)

No kidding. Im not looking forward to the movie, honestly. It doesnt look like it will be good.

You know what the next remake is? Space Camp! After that? The Explorers! Mark my words, we're just going to remake every god damn thing.
