This is nothing new, really. Even as of today, China is still debating over Japan's role in the Nanjing Massacre, and the amount of people that have been murdered under the rule of the past Imperial Army.
As always, the Japanese Government has always been denying the legality and the claims of such an atrocity, and will downplay it whenever necessary. What makes it even worse is that they neglect to teach their future generation of citizens about what happened in their country's past about it.
Even though this is just one reason why China and Japan still bitch and fight at each other, I presume that China had more reasons for resenting Japan, but this is just one of the bigger events in history that no one can deny.

I was merely implying the amount of Chinese civilians who were raped, looted, and murdered all together by the Imperial soldiers who did those types of actions themselves.

That's really a pity that Japan is denying their war crimes. But I don't believe that the hate between China and Japan will disappear when Japan appologize. Just look at Germany, right after the war the Germans appologized several times for their crimes and what happened? The people still hate us!!
But yeah, it's really a shame that Japan is not brave enough to say "Okay, we did this crimes, we deeply apologize for them", but no one can force them to say it.

A lot of countries deny their war crimes. America is currently denying war crimes in fact.
It's just a shame people can't fess up and go "look we royally fucked up, those people were completely bat **** insane and did some sick things. We fully apologise to all the victims and we are errecting this monument to remember this horrible event".
It stops them having to pay out cash to any one (which is probably the reason they refuse to admit it) but it gives respect to those hurt and hence balances the issue for both sides.
On the other hand I'm sure some of these 'victims' are batshit insane too. There is a black guy in the UK who screams and shouts his ass off that 'Britain was built on black slavoury, so the government should pay all the black people lots of money for their loses" and it's like "..excuse me.. you're some 20 year old brain washed smuck. You want the free cash and you did NOTHING to build this country, you just claim that because you're black and black people did it you deserve it".
It's the big problem with things like this. Grandkids and great grandkids want to play the victim card when they are not victims at all. They want "lost resources" given to them because "my grandparent couldn't earn money so I have less!". Which is one of the major reasons not to fess up to this kind of thing. It opens you up to 100-200 years of bullshit law suits where you can't win. If you say "you're talking ****, GTFO!" they claim you're denying it, holding them down, if you give them money 10 more hold out their hands.
Daishu : Most people have no issue with Germans. I don't know where you're looking but in the UK only idiot football hooligans hate you and well we just hope they all die.
Did any one find it rather amusing this is an article about rape and sexual abuse and yet right at the bottom of the page there is a close up of some sluts barely covered crotch? I mean I'm sure we need to appeal to penises while we discuss violent gang rape of innocent women and children (yes, any girl above about ten would of been used).
Another thing : Be careful with what you read here. China wants to play the victim and the little guy. They will try and make everyone look bad and themselves look good, even though they are a twisted corrupt reigme, it helps them look like the underdog coming up strong compared to the corrupt nation it really is.
Just some thoughts, mostly non-sense I'm sure.
