one thing I don't understand, how the heck did the suit actors see out of those helmets?

If all those tiny holes in Big One's helmet were for seeing, can't imagine they would work so well. They even kept the holes in Gaoranger vs Super Sentai

After watching Volume 1 of JAKQ, I seriously get a different vibe from this Sentai series than any other Sentai show that aired after it. It's got the Classic Ishinomori vibe, almost the same vibe you get when you watch something like Kikaider or V3.

I'm diggin' the suits, especially Spade Ace (Red). It takes some getting used to not seeing a Mecha battle at the end of each episode aswell.

I heard that there are references to Kikaider and V3 in this series, An Evil group who joins CRIME faught many other Toku heroes in the past or something to that effect. Anyone know what episode I can expect to see this in?.

There is just a reference to this in the JAQK vs Goranger movie, if memory serves right the heros mentioned fighting CRIME globally are Goranger, Kikaida, V3 & Amazon.

If I remember right, they just showed a map of the world with pictures of the various heroes pinned to different countries to show where they're fighting.

Yeah, it isn't much to get excited about, just pictures on a map and theme music cues while Joker mentions they're fightin' Crime around the world. But it's a cool little shout-out.

Episode 23 exactly. The series kinda starts to get less than great after that. It seems kinda obvious like they were trying to make it lighter in tone by bringing him in.

Big One has finally arrived. I gotta say the episodes keep getting better and better.

The 2 parter with the Ant General was just awesome and the Concentration Camp episode was the best so far. Seeing Banba disguised as Hitler was fucking marvellous.

I'm also gonna add Spade Ace into my Fav Reds list. He's just too awesome.
