again, these are all quite true. I dunno how a remark of "I got a job" could destroy a marriage though. if I was the guy, it'd make my budget a whole lot easier.

I guess it has to do with the the Man's inability to provide for his Wife/Family, so the Wife has to work as well. That could be seen as Embarrassing to the guy that he can't bring in enough money for his Wife to live comfortably.
