Im so sick of Nintendo's "Copy Paste" product plan. All they do is releases a handheld, re-release it with different colors, re-release it again with an added feature, re-release that with more colors.

All they do is get you to buy the exact same product over and over again.

How are they "getting" you to do anything? Nintendo puts out a product, so of course they want it to sell. I think bitching about nintendo is wrong.

People will buy things they want. Nintendo is not forcing their products on anyone. Since you think they are, could you explain how?

It's called a business plan. You release a product and yes, you look at how well it does. More importantly than that you look at how it can do better. Some people bought a DSi, it sold well, but it can sell better. You look to focus groups consisting of people who did not buy your product and you ask them. "what do we need to do to sell this to you" You take a look at those results and see what can be implemented. If people want it, people buy it.

Nintendo isn't marketing this to the people who already own their product. They are marketing it to the people who do not own their product, but might be more inclined to do so with the new features. If anyone trades up to the new version in the process, all the better for Nintendo.

Yeah, it's good business for them, but I find it obnoxious on their part. It's like they can't back up their systems with decent games anymore so they have to get us to rebuy them so the company can stay in business. It's just annoying how arrogant they are

I think if they are arrogant (which I disagree with, but that's another story) they have every right to be. They've been doing what they do for a damn long time, and like their games or not, they know how to market to the masses. I don't see myself getting a DSi XL, or a regular DSi for that matter, but even an idiot, whether they want to buy something or not, can appreciate the value of having two screens that are almost twice the size of the current model.

The new stylus on the other hand...... I think I have a smaller one on my tablet.

I know they arent "forcing" anyone by any technical standard. I'm just annoyed in general by their practices. DSi just came out. Their being pretentious by releasing another version already.

I hate them for how they do business and for the general lack of quality in their recent games. The Nintendo I loved died during the GameCube years apparently.

That's what you're supposed to do in a debate or discussion. Challenge other people's views and submit your own. I didn't bother to fully flesh out where I was coming from in my original post, afterall. King's alright. he wasn't trying to be rude just challenging.
