Hibiki is great, just in a different way that Agito is. There are days where I'd rather watch the kind of story and tone that Hibiki offers than the kind Agito does and vice-versa. Most people like their Tokusatsu to be "dark," or comedic, or anywhere in-between, but I enjoy and appreciate any series that tries to be different or varied.
I loved that arc, my favorite part was when: [HIDE]Kogure-san (Fuse Akira's character) met his match with Ibuki, who offered no resistance to his berating.[/HIDE]
I don't necessarily agree that the other new gen series are somehow shallow or unworthy, I've found every new gen series that I've seen (which is all of them, except for Kuuga and Agito, which I've only sampled) to be highly enjoyable.
I wasn't necessarily saying that all New Gen series are shallow or unworthy. I agree, I've found something to enjoy and appreciate in almost every show I've seen. I was just making a comparison between the episodic,arc-dependent feel of all the newer KR, as opposed to drawing out the storytelling and plotline that Hibiki executes.
