It would be nice so they didn't have to pan and scan or worse--stretch the footage. That's so annoying.

I can see it happening when HD sets actually become affordable for the majority of the working population.

Disney Channel and Toon Disney both go HD in early 2008, so it's possible PR will be going HD too.

Disney Channel shows, like Hannah Montana, Cory in the House and their recent DCOMs, are already shot in HD and will probably broadcast in that format on the new DCHD channel.

It'll happen within the next few years for sure. It's just a question of when. It could be next year, or the year after, but I'd say by PR 2010, it's definite.

Filming in HD is a whole new ball game.

It makes me wonder how it will compare when cut around the Sentai HD footage.

Well PR and Sentai film in two totalyl different styles.
PR has more of that digital video feel kind of like how Kamen Rider is filmed
Whereas Sentai is kind of... soft? There is a different though and it is obvious.

I myself prefer PR footage over Sentai footage.

:laugh: I bet, so will PR: Jungle fury. well, heck to see Disney Channel and Jetix on Hi-Def... looking forward to it... in 2121 (just kidding), maybe?
