Is it possible to put VLC player on a flashdrive?

Anyways, here the story. I'm giving my friend some J-dramas (while sneaking in some toku) to watch at home. Of course he tells me it doesnt work, so I tell him to either download CCC codec pack or VLC player. Thing is, he doesnt have internet anymore (he told me he's family is on some sort of "budget" and cant afford internet anymore). So, I really want him to watch it, so is it possible to just copy vlc player onto my flashdrive and still work on his computer?

You could get the setup file for VLC player and put in your flashdrive.Then when he gets your flashdrive,he can extract it to his desktop and install it just like normal.

Download is just for the setup file.If he doesn't have internet,just give him the setup file:thumbs:

I have both the install and the file itself in my external harddrive. they work perfectly.

There's also VLC media player portable. It executes from within the flash drive for use at places where you can't install programs, such as a library, school lab, or somebody else's PC. It's not as robust as the full installed version though.

While I stick with MPC on my comp at home, I must admit that I do love that I can put videos on my flash drive and play them with my portable VLC. :buttrock:
