Arc System Works has announced a big collection of beat-em-ups from the 8-bit days: the Double Dragon & Kunio-Kun Retro Brawler Bundle. It’s got all three games in the original Double Dragon trilogy, plus so much Kunio-Kun you might “BARF!”
The Kunio-kun series is known as the “River City” series in the US, and four of its titles were brought over back in the day, the most famous being River City Ransom. They’re all in this, and so is everything we missed.
The extra-cool thing about this compliation is that it localizes, for the first time, a number of Kunio-Kun games…and that number is 11! Think about how hard it is to get Square to translate just ONE of their unreleased classic games that remained in Japan (took over twenty years to get Trials of Mana). Arc shows ’em how it’s done!
