She died on the same day with popular Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu.

This is really sad news. Lee Joo Shil seemed like such a lovely and talented actress. I always enjoyed seeing her pop up in my favorite dramas, and she brought so much warmth and authenticity to every role. Her performance as Hwang Jun-Ho's mom in "Squid Game 2" was particularly touching. It's amazing that she overcame stage 4 breast cancer earlier in her life - she was a true fighter. My condolences to her family and friends.

Lee Joo Shil's passing is a big loss to Korean cinema. Her career spanned decades, and she consistently delivered memorable performances across various genres, from heartwarming family dramas like "A Time Called You" to thrilling supernatural mysteries like "Svaha: The Sixth Finger." What struck me most about her acting was her versatility. She could play a strong, supportive mother figure like in "A Time Called You" and then completely switch gears to portray a vulnerable grandmother struggling with dementia in "The Uncanny Counter." She will be deeply missed.

Man, I only just started watching "Happiness" and now I find out the actress who plays Ji Sung-Sil passed away? That's such a bummer. She always seemed to play these really interesting side characters that added so much to the story. Like, who can forget the grandma desperately trying to hide the infected person in her unit? It was heartbreaking but also suspenseful. Lee Joo Shil was a fixture in K-dramas, and it won't be the same without her. Guess I'll have to go back and rewatch some of her shows in her honor!

Lee Joo Shil's passing is a reminder of the importance of respecting our elders. In Korean culture, showing respect for those who came before us is paramount. Actresses like Lee Joo Shil paved the way for the current generation of Korean stars.

Even though Lee Joo Shil is gone, her legacy will live on through her many films and television shows. She leaves behind a treasure trove of work that will continue to entertain and inspire audiences for generations to come.

Yes. But it's her strength in battling cancer that I am keeping in my heart. Do you realize when she did Squid Game 2, she was suffering from cancer? There are days when I would whine about having to get up and go to work. But I was healthy! Not once have I ever gone to work when I was sick. She made me feel ashamed of myself. I give her double honor.
