so i'm taking japanese this quarter, and there's this girl that sits next to me in class, we've studied together once, and i've had a few conversations with her, today......she confessed that she has feelings for me.

problem is, i don't think i feel the same way, plus we see each other five days a week so yeah, advice would help

Sorry to say, but no matter what you do (unless you reciprocate her feelings) you're going to hurt her. She had the courage to tell you that she likes you and that takes a lot of guts. Only thing you CAN do is tell her you see her as just a friend and don't be a dick about it.

Of course not, and you shouldn't feel bad about it at all. Relationships don't just happen, they take a long time to grow and require lots of nourishment. There is no such thing as love at first sight.

If you're not comfortable dating, then take it easy and be friends. It's not fun having to put down someone else's feelings, but I think it's even worse to go into something without the same feelings as the other person. From what it sounds like, you two haven't known each other all too long. You two could have something together, but rushing in won't do any good. Certainly not when you aren't comfortable with it to begin with.
