If I directed Kamen Rider Kabuto, I would... [!!SPOILER WARNING!!]

This topic came up in the IRC HJU chat, so I volunteered to make this thread...

If you were given the chance to rewrite Kamen Rider Kabuto, how would you do it? What would you change? Who would you change?

1. Kagami as TheBee throughout the show
2. No Gattack
3. Kill off Drake after his arc was over
4. Have a seperate storyline for Yaguruma's journey into hell. Give the Hopper origin a little depth.
5. Have Jyuka be a more important character.
6. Keep Tsurugi alive and have him get with Misaki in the end
7. No Dark Kabuto BS
8. No perfect Zector hyper sword whatever that thing was

I'm sure there's a lot more.

First I'd scrap the Dark kitchen arc and replace with an arc wherein the natives are introduced after one is seen taking both the drake and sasword zectors out for a joy ride to fight the bad worms. This then infuriates Daisuke and Tsurugi who gain the hopper zectors from Zect. The native worm then combines the Drake ans Sasword powers to for some kind of Swashbuckling Pirate type rider and after defeating a group of worms with rider slash comes face to face with Kabuto who fails to notice the already charged Rider Shooting and takes the projectile in the chest/belt before he can act. This then leads to the hyper zector showing up and Tendou Hyperclocks up just in time to save his ass and have Hiyori fix the belt since she's a native and can do that ( at least thats how it cam off when Kabuto first had his belt wreaked. ) Next Daisuke and Tsurugi as punch in kick hopper have a little arc for character development that spans the course of a day before challenging the native and recovering their zectors. They each, in separate events give the hopper zectors to Yaguruma and Kageyama, but are later dissatisfied with the actions of the two and try to reclaim the hopper zectors as Yaguruma and Kageyama have pissed them off ( crashing the decabil mansion and ruining on of Daisukes photo shoots.) Renge is then introduced as an assassain against the natives and Tadokoro uses The Bee Zector to defend them. After being beaten by the several worms he is offered the gattack zector and almost killed by it while using the bee zector at the last minute to save himself. Kagami goes through the same situation as in the series to gain the Gattack zector and we learn that part of why the zector and not so much the Gattack armor is so powerful is that it is also a prototype combination with a hyper zector. As kagami had the bee zector when he obtained the gattack zector we also find out it is damaged but Tadokoro still continues to use it along side Kagami. As the hopper bros seek the light that shines in the darkness ( this really is such a perverted metaphor but I'll save that for later ) they become obsessed with obtaining it through heroic redemption as Yaguruma and Kageyama follow/imitate both Daisuke and Tsurugi around leading to more fleshed out characters while the rivalry between Tendou and Kagami increases as they both try to combat the natives increasing control over zect. They both do it their separate ways which draws them into conflict as Tendou makes use of Renge as an assassin. Towards the end Mishima and the Natives bring Tendou and Kagami into direct conflict and Kagami's zector goes hyper, this is then followed by his redesigned hyper form before him and Tendou actually *gasp* use m'f'ing Hyper Cast On and we see full hyper forms. Obsessed with their fight and under the influence of the red shoes system the two neglect that Mishima kill the worm version of tendou before going after hiyori and everyone else with an out of control Dark kabuto. As the main worms move on the city and their loved ones Daisuke and Tsurugi fight the main group of worms as Tadokoro with the damaged The Bee zector and the hopper bros seeing their chance of redemption go after the head Evil worm with Tadokoro and hiyori brings the heavily damaged Tendou and Kagami to their senses just in time to see the Bee and Hoppers die as heroes. With the last of their available power Tendou and Kagami save the day before being lost in a hyper clock up. Then fast forward to Hiyori running the bistro with a monument to the Bee and Hopper bro.s as Tendou and Kagami reappear no aware of their foolish and tragic behavior as they witness the damage done to the city. As the enter the bistro they see Jiya and a bandaged Daisuke before being told the story of Daisuke's fight against Tsurugi as Scorpioworm and of Jiya casting the final blow with the Discalibur ending the Discabils. Jiya continues his quest to rebuild the fortune and Daisuke attempts to pursue Misaki and Renge which led to his bandaged state. Or something like that ... it pretty late at nigh though, so forgive me if it makes no sense. plus no hyper zector crap.

Also what was up with Hyper Kabuto Stalking regular Tendou and Kagami? I don't recall this being explained, so I guess that means Tendou has some weird fetish for watching himself fight.

Also kill Juka and a very definative way with no savvies.

Wow, Ether that's alot.

1. I would change the role of Zabii (I like his rider form and colors). Mid way through the season he was abandoned. I would have wanted Yaga to return as Zabii. When Tendou was returning the zectors to the riders he should have returned Zabii to Yaga. Then Yaga could have return as Zabii because Zect needed his help and he saw the "light". After Yaga got that crush Mamiya Reina, he became happy. That would have been the best time for him to return as Zabii because he realized he wanted to protect people.

2. Give the hopper zector an origin and a purpose. The hoppers just wandered in darkness in stead of trying to take revenge on zect and Tendou for kicking them out. Yaga also should have been mad at Kage for taking Zabii.

3. Kusakabe (Dark Kabuto) seemed to have no purpose. He didn't seem to help the story. I would've given him more of a purpose. The dark kabuto zector was hot but it went to waste.

4. When Tendou got the Hyper zector Gatack became almost useless. I would have made him more important.

5. Hyper Gatack in the show but with a better design. He could have been in only one episode. When Tendou didn't want to fight because he realized Hiyori wanted to be with Kusakabe, Kagami could have taken the Hyper Zector. Then go to Dark Kabuto's demension and try to save Hyori but he can't control the zector. So he gets flung back to our demension, badly hurt. After seeing how hard Kagmi tries Tendou gets courage and wants to fight again.

3 taken out the little..."innuendo's" for the hoppers
4 Give kagami a hyper zecter
5 explain where the hell the perfect zecter came from
6 give renge a more active roll and some zecter

I would have made Mikashima, Kagami's dad's lil underling, TheBee. He would have become the sole Rider for Zect, and would have been on the same lvl as Tendou and Kagami as far as power.

Like most people, I'd have killed Daisuke instead of Tsurugi, probably would have been a double death thing with that Worm chick he fell inlove with -- I'd have had Gon take his zecter and have some forshadowing for her to become Drake later on in life.

Tsurugi would have eventually gotten together with Misaki.

Hiyori wouldn't have been Tendou's sister, since that gave me a serious Luke and Leia vibe.

Tak Sakaguichi would have fought in human form just a little more often.

And for the Hoppers, I'd have either ran with the gay thing or written it out completely instead of doing the odd inbetween thing.
