I'm agreed with you on this one. Climax Form is the combination of everyone's (including Ryotaro's) power. Liner Form is ultimately still just Ryotaro, and always seemed to me to be weaker than Climax. By all means recognise the character's growth by giving him his own form beyond the standard PlatForm, but thematically Climax Form makes more sense as the final form. Not to mention it was the one that got the beyond-ultra upgrade in a later film.Anyway I personally would wanna combine Climax and Liner form, there are certain ideas I like from both but Climax form (to me) looks like more of a final upgrade than Liner form.
I was also disappointed by PuToTyra, because it combined two themes: dinosaurs and mythical creatures, which both could have been used in different ways. TaJaDor never made sense as the mid-season upgrade form. Why is it stronger than LaToraTah or GataKiriBa when Ankh's original form is about as powerful as his fellow Greeed? It would have been far cooler to have had one less 'normal' full combo and had a dinosaur-themed form as that year's Fang/Joker and then a mythical creature-themed ultimate form.OOO needed a more abstract final form in my opinion. With his gimmick the way it was I think A. All of the medals should have been able to work in any combo and that B. To just say one combo is the strongest in every way is boring. I think the strongest part of the OOO concept was the mixing and matching, eventually he never really had to cuz he had tajador and putotyra. I think it would've been fun for Eiji (NOTE: I realize this doesn't fit with the plot but just go with me for a sec) to somehow purify the medals and absorb one of each into himself and then be able to do instant full combo changes. Need to get at a yummy thats high up? fast as snapping his fingers he's tajador. Need a strength boost? Sagozo. Got an enemy hiding underwater? *snap* Shauta. This "final form" could look really plain (similar to Den-O's PlatForm), and call it like King Combo or something. That could actually be pretty funny, hype the hell out of this "ultimate power" and when he first gets it he's all bummed cuz its totally underwhelming, until he actually uses it and then he realizes its like mindblowingly powerful, i like that idea
I also think MegaMax misssed out on a chance to have some really unique forms for OOO and Fourze. Don't get me wrong, I quite like Rocket States, although I'm not a fan of Super TaToBa. But given that they outright gave them past rider themed medals and switches to use, they could have done something really unique with a 'Rider Combo' and 'Rider States'. Trying to blend their suit designs with more "retro" elements could have created something really different to the forms we're used to from their respective shows.
