But I don't want any of the crap I hate about anime, which is emo kids, half-assed philosophy and endless talk about politics. I just wanna see some robots kick each other's asses. I've heard that Gurren-Lagann and GaoGaiGar would be good for that, anything else? Also, are those shows fansubbed and by what groups?

my friend, might I suggest some mecha anime from the 80's like Robotech, Voltron, Jayce and The Wheeled Warriors, star blazers, and so much more
