I need Help!!

Ok buds... I need some advice. I haven't jumped into next gen gaming yet but I played some Gears of War over at a friend's and I'm hooked. Now I'm debating whether I should drop $550+ on system and game. I already have LIVE so that's tempting me even more. I feel left out of the pack. My buds gaming online while I'm stuck in last gen. Thing is... I'm busting my ass at work doing tons of OT and getting another job cause I got some big plans in the future that I have yet to mention here. Basically I'm gonna be penny pinching for awhile. Now... I'm asking if I should just say **** it and drop the dough, meaning I have to bust my ass even more to make up the dough I'm gonna spend and eat only mashed potoatoes for the forsseable future, or be a responsible adult and just save the dough for my future plans and be left out of next-gen gaming for the forseeable future. :bawling:

Tsk tsk, Decisions decisions. Help me out guys. What should I do!?!?!?

And if you hold off, the price'll drop to something more affordable anyway.
