I finally won my battle with Sky Digital today [in a way] 3 times over and it was all thanks to writing to the CEO; James Murdoch directly...
Basically I'd been having problems with them since this April over a special offer where I was supposed to have 1/3 off Sky Digital for 12 months and it seems there'd been a bit of a screw-up in that the offer hadn't been applied onto my account and they took an extra payment of £7.00 to make up for that...
Most of the Customer Service staff I spoke to were rude and unhelpful and fortunately, somebody in the messageboard where I saw the original special offer came up trumps in that they gave me some email addresses including James Murdoch's personal email address!:laugh:
After a week or so, I got an email from a very helpful guy who said that he'd been asked by Mr Murdoch himself to help me out and asked for my account details so he could see if he could help me out and believe me, he really went above and beyond the call of duty!
In the end, even tho I never got a refund of the £7.00 or the special offer which it turns out is now over, I've had my account reinstated along with any arrears that I should have paid cancelled out AND I've got £84 UK Pounds Sterling worth of credit which is equivalent to 4 months worth of free viewing! In other words, it's a Triple Win!:anime:
The moral of the story is: a) "Don't EVER **** about with me or I will be prepared to lay the metaphorical smackdown on you by suing your ass!" and b) "It's great to have some good luck for once!":laugh:
