I wish I could remember what box contains the camera. Heck, I wish I could remember which box contains my cds so I can install my video games but that's a whole different rant.
At any rate, I have (two of three) weird daughters. Where they get their weirdness from, no idea but it wasn't me since when I was their age I was ahead in fashion trends by months. My girls on the other hand don't even follow or set fashion trends, nope they create their own.
My eldest daughter is too preppy. She is a slave to what other people wear and despite mu urging her to pick clothes she likes rather then what other girls in school are wearing, well it's a losing battle with her.
HOWEVER, my middle and youngest daughter are the weird ones. My middle daughter wears her own style. She doesn't dress punk, she doesn't dress goth (but she does love shoes with skulls on them) and she doesn't dress preppy. She does a mix of three styles where she'll wear her skull shoes with leggings underneath a jean skort with a preppy looking sweater that she's modified with monkeys. Yes, monkeys. She loves Bobby Jack but any monkey will make her happy and if it doesn't have a monkey on it then she'll draw one on it. She and a friend of hers (who is now in middle school) started a club several years ago called "The Monkey Club" and to this day she is the leader of the club (she's in the fifth grade) and the only rule is you have to love monkeys and wear something with a monkey on it at least once a week. Weird child. She's 10 and she is still into monkeys to the point all she wants to collect are monkeys.
Now my youngest daughter, age nine, is just as weird if not weird. Right now, and the reason for this post, she is wearing khaki brown jeans under a different shade of khaki skort with a bright pink top and white sweater WITH her summer sandals. Did I mention it snowed the other day? Hubby just yelled at her to put her boots on. lol She stuck her hair in punky pigtails (her hair is stick straight so the ponytails are spiky) and off she just went to school.
I really need to find my camera because today's clothes choices just made me scratch my head and think where in the world did these girl inherit their (lack of) fashion sense.
