After the HUGE windstorm that roared through the Puget Sound on Thurs night, I FINALLY got power sometime after 1:30am to my apt.

So after 48hrs w/o lights or heat, my heater is going fullblast at my place.

My parents are still w/o power, so they're currently over at my place warming up and recharging the laptops and portable DVD player.

And I saw the pics of a coworker's house, where a tree came in through his bedroom while he was sleeping. He's fine, and his house is mostly okay. So that's good.

And after 2 days off from work (due to the wide-spread outage) I'm back at work and going through massive messages and emails :laugh:

See this is why I'm glad that I'm on the other side of the state. We had the windstorms as well but the Cascades protects us from the heavy brunt of it.

Yeah, we got hit REALLY bad. Pretty much all of western wash went out of power. My parents are still out and right now they're crashing at my apt for the night since I have heat.

I just read in the paper you guys had another storm. Yesterday, it was so nice and warm - warm enough, dry enough, to continue putting XMas lights on. Today, total opposite - ice cold (literally), windy and if it rains it'll either be snow (too cold) or ice rain. I hate the cold. Stupid weather.
