I have a Street Fighter itch

so yeaaaaah me and my buddy Travis were playing SF4 recently and it gave me this compelling urge to play more SF:sly:... like the best SF games I mean.:sweat: Then it got me thinking (which is never a good sign:redface2 about Mortal Kombat and how I have never really played them:eyebrow:... then I got to thinking about Tekken and Killer Instinct, and Clay Fighter, you get the idea ... I am now on the hunt for a good list of good to great fighting games. Like ones that were hardly ever heard of but were considered to be really great games.

what are some fighters you guys can recomend?:sweat: (I can find a way to play the jap PS2 games and snes and sega and PC games.. everything else don't worry about)

Hokuto no Ken for the PS2. It's got solid game play, insane combos, and if you're a fan of the series, it has a great challenge mode recreating scenes from the series in which you have to think back to exactly how that fight played out, and defeat your opponent the same way to unlock the next challenge.

As an added bonus it's from Arc System Works, and they've got a solid history behind their fighting games.

Depends on your style. The Fighting Games that are very solid and easy to pick up I'd say would be Any version of SF2, SF4, Tekken Tag Tournament, 5, and 6, BlazBlue, and any Soul Calibur game.

If you're ever passionate about fighting games be sure to give Virtua Fighter a try. It's not as easy to pick up and play as Soulcalibur, but once you learn the mechanics of it, it's very fun and rewarding.

ahh ok ok, I have already played a few.. Tekken, Soul Calibur, SF, MK, DBZ, Killer Instinct, Clay Fighter, Darkstalkers, and Smash Bros. games. I have yet to actually try any Guilty Gear or Blaze Blue :hmm:. My favorite out of the fighters I mentioned are the DBZ ones (PS2 and up). I don't know why, I just enjoy it a lot :sweat: Thanks for the suggestions BTW:thumbs:... but did you guys know of any good fighters on ANY of the SEGA consoles (including Saturn... and the Mega drive. I'll worry about how to play it later) or SNES that isn't a SF clone haahaha

Actually I found this list that gives you... well a list of all the fighters ever made.... I think :sweat: what it doesn't do however is tell you what games are good and what are bad =/
