How to Improve The Simpsons

Black Ranger RX

I don't have low self esteem.
So, recently there's been this about Fox telling the voice actors to accept their pay cuts or the show is going to be axed, and the show's fate is in their hands..

But despite that, a lot of people want it axed..

But, I've been thinking, instead of wanting the show axed, what about suggesting ways to improve the show?

I personally think the show should be renamed "Homer Simpson" and base the show all around him. I mean, for me the main reason to watch the show now is mainly for Homer Simpson and his antics. Getting drunk, making weird noises, eating like a pig, being a smartass to people..

Any other ideas?

Who knows and who cares.

I wouldnt mind the show aging the younger characters, it'd piss off the purists but it might lead to some new challenges for the writers. I was grateful they did it with the Rugrats (AGU might have not lasted long, but it was still a nice insight into how the characters evolved and matured from babies) and people forget The Flintstones aged Pebbles and Bam-Bam into teenagers and then young adults for the final few years of their relevancy

Another element that needs fixing is the humour, switch it back from slapstic to ironic comedy, I'm not saying every episode needs a Frank Grimes moment, but something that grounds the zany in a kind of reality for the audience.

I wouldn't lose any sleep if Simpsons was canned. It just does nothing for me anymore. Nothing in the show has evolved. It's just the same **** I watched in 1990.

I want a permanent time jump of at least 5 years.

The Simpsons needs to be like the first 12 seasons, when the show actually had a story. Stop trying to be Family Guy...
