How to do Cosplaying

Kivat

Some kind of Beast mode
How?

I've been getting interested in it lately, from seeing kits for helmets and

weapons. This is something i'd really like to work on, especially weapons.

Where can i get exact looking weapon kits? for instants if i wanted

too buy a golden power staff, where would i find it and is it even made?

anybody able to give step by step process on how and what to do if i got

a weapon or helmet?

I think Rangerboard has a whole mess of info on this stuff...

But it'd be far cheaper and oodles of fun to sculpt/cast your own... I've been trying to figure that out myself lately, but often just find myself on a wild goose chase bouncing from useless site to useless site.

For Kamen Rider, get a complete selection belt. It's already as real as possible...for sentai props, their henshin devices are fairly the same:thumbs:

That's what i love the most about kamen rider, the complete selection belts

are amazing. I saw an artical awhile ago saying that (toei i guess )

are making adult size belts for all the seasons from the 1st and on. I don't

know about the most recent though. The den-o one was great.

I want to see a Kiva, IXA, and Sagark one. I'd be in Rider heaven if that

happened, but their expensive:disappoin

If that's true,i'll love to grab a Zeronos Complete Selection Belt.BoJ and Toei had never fail us in making the toys as realistic as possible...but some company *coughs*BoA*coughs* had to ruin the toys

yezzir you are correct in everyway

I wish i can mail BoJ and they'd actually understand it haha, then they'd think

about how an amercian fan wants an adult size belt. Then they'll have to

make'em:buttrock:

Far cheaper? probably not. I am working on making a latex mask and just building up the sculpture portion of the mold takes a lot of clay, time and decent tools. I was fortunate enough to already have tools and I found the clay for cheap. The mold process is going to cost me a pretty penny.. Casting molds for helmets will pry cost much more because I can only imagine the cost for a nice sturdy material being more pricey than latex. I'm sure it can be done, but honestly making one yourself as opposed to purchasing one from $300+ I think I might choose the latter.

Costumes however, you can make those decently cheap. Just gotta find the right fabrics for the right price. I always hit up sales at the local fabric stores.

Well, call me ignorant then.

I still wanna take up sculpting my own stuff though... it's a skill I've been wanting to pick up for my own personal reasons, and for all those things you can't buy replicas for. It's more meaningful that way anyway.

^ man if i only had that talent...well i probably do, but i don't have the tools.
So what would cost more, buying the helmets, suits, weapons etc.?

or getting everything to make them yourself?

I didn't mean to burst your bubble, I just wanted to let you know because I am going down a similar road. I also know a guy who makes Latex masks and is going to help me out when I need it and from what he's told me, it can get pricey. So I just wanted to throw that out there. I mean if you have the time and **** go for it. I personally thought it would be fun to try and also my project would make a great cosplay so I am going for it. I just wish I had more time

It really depends on what you are comfortable with doing and how much you want to spend. I mean trial and error is a bitch but it helps you in the long run. Time is also a factor. If you don't have enough time to dedicate to the project it may be in your best interest to comission pieces from others who have more expereince and time. I, myself, have not taken the dive into large props yet but I have plans to.
