Hot Cosplaying Wife

I feel bad for her child and husband. She's obviously obsessed with it and just about never spends any time with her child and her husband. Horrible, just horrible. This is what you get when you marry an otaku. She deserves a bitch-slap. People who say the d00d is lucky just don't realize the big picture. She could at least try to involve her child in the activities, but doesn't seem to.

I second that notion, minus the bitch slap (What can I say, I'm a chilvaristic sap :P). Sure it'd be nice to have a cosplayer wife but to the point where she doesn't let that get in the way of the important things, especially if you've got kids.

I mean hell, when I saw Episode 3 of Star Wars *shdders*, there was this family of Jedi that showed up which was cool. Stuff like that, no big deal. Just make sure you don't scar them for life...like those poor kids as they walked through a mall dressed as Jedi o_o

All the more reason that if I do land a cosplayer girlfriend, I'll demand that we dress up as Great Saiyaman 1 and 2 respectively ^_^

I agree with what Kyu said, to the extent that it shouldn't get in the way with your daily family life ... and actually, that goes for any kind of hobby, be it building model planes or watching anime. This woman seems to lose herself too much in her hobby and that can't be good for family life, especially for raising her child.

Having a g/f that moderately likes cosplay myself, I must say it doesn't bother me as long as she doesn't go overboard. She mostly just enjoys looking at uniforms or trying them on (a lot of Japanese have a thing with uniforms). I see no harm in that, unless she would obsess over it. She wears a uniform at work but takes it off as soon as she gets home, just like any other normal person. She just enjoys trying on a different one from time to time, when she gets the chance. No big deal to me ...

I don't know if the reporter was purposely making the woman look bad, but the reporter did a damn good job of it if you don't pay attention to the whole cosplay thing. The whole time you never see the woman show any affection to her husband or child. And the whole thing with the father taking the child to the park without the mother because she is sewing is just terrible. I could never marry a woman like that. Family is always first. I've seen cosplayers dress up their children, sometimes its very cute. I remember I once saw someone with a child dressed as Gohan from the first ep of DBZ. The kid was adorable, picture a cute drooling child. His outfit even had a spots from his drool, so adorable. :anime:

That is the whole difference right there. This woman seems to lose herself in her hobby, at the detriment of her family, whereas others use their hobby to do something fun with/for their family.

When I was in kindergarten, my mom (who learned to sew) made me little costumes so I could dress up as a bear or a clown, so we could do some roleplaying games at school. I have fond memories of that and will always be grateful to her for putting in this much effort and time for me.
