When I first started FFXIV I was dirt poor and I couldn't afford anything. And then my cousin told me about crafting and gathering. And I started off gathering and worked my way through Botany and Mining and Fishing. AftherI leveled them to 60 I started leveling my crafting and once they were all level 60 the money came rolling in. During my peak, I was stelling a stack hardsilver ingots for 1m per stack. So my advice is start gathering and then start crafting if you're struggling with having enough money in FFXIV.

P.S. The reason why I say level gathering first is because you're going to need gathering for your crafting or you're going to be spending a ton of money on materials.

Does it ( the house ) actually cost anywhere near that amount of money ?
Because if it does that's a bit ridiculous. I don't know what I expected from an MMORPG though.

Yes, it costs 4m for a basic small house and 20m for a medium house and 50m for a large house. And if you know what your doing, making money is very easy. And if you don't know what you're doing your never going to have more than a few million tops.

At first I thought you made real money out of final fantasy. HAHA. But still this is a good trick in earning in final fantasy. This trick can help those final fantasy players who are wanting too earn on final fantasy easily.

This is some pretty solid advice. I have never thought you could make a fortune just crafting and gathering. I have actually been struggling to accumulate a cash load and I had climaxed at a million tops. Maybe I will take up crafting and see how it goes.

If you get into crafting and gathering you will have an endless supply of money. At one point I was up to 32 million gil and then I bought my medium house and furnished it. I also gave my friend over 10 million to buy a house and not to mention I spent over 50 million in appearance gear and the list goes on.

I'm curious. How does the....housing system function in FFXIV ?
Do the players compete for a finite number of houses ( I guess that wouldn't make much sense, since eventually there would be no available houses which would suck, but I'm not sure what does ) ?

I have ever gotten to an endless supply but it certainly helps. Maybe that just means I should devote some more time there or maybe I am just missing something.
