How do the actors see through visors (bug eyes)?

For shows like Kamen Rider I saw someone say they can barely see through those eyes, are these guys fighting choreograph scenes by memory or can they see through the visors just like normal sun glasses?

I know random question but I am curious.

NVM i got a pretty good answer on facebook

Can you post the answer? I'm curious now too.

It's covered in Decade's Net Movie. There is small slits where the Suit Actor can see from. There is also two types of helmet. There's the High Detail which is used for close-ups and feature even less eyesight. Then there's the action helmet with less detail but more eyesight.

This is Decade's High Detail helmet if I'm not wrong and the circle marks where the eye slits are on that, iirc. I do not have the Net Movies on my computer so can't verify :redface2:

ah it's driving me nuts that video is not available to this country..I so badly want to see it but even stuff that hides my ip gives me 404 error

as for the answers I got they are very similar what Andy said

Dedi
I've seen some original helmets on rider/sentai road shows and I've talked to one suit actor once (mark musashi) and yep.. the vision is very bad.. :D
but there are two kinds of suits. one for 'posing' purpose and one for action scene. the 'posing' ones have a very terrible vision and very limited movement. they are used for a close up scene. the action ones have better vision and better movement. but still far from comfortable.. :D
what Mark said to me that they have 2 kind of fighting reheearsal before shooting a scene.. with and without helmet. so when it is time for shooting they have memorized the movement.. :D
