HIM: Marlon Wayans as a villain?

This is exactly the kind of horror I enjoy. Not jump scares, but real psychological tension. You can see in the trailer that something is wrong from the beginning. Marlon Wayans looks cold and in control, which makes him scary in a quiet way. I’m also happy Jordan Peele is behind this. When his name is attached, I expect a deeper message. There’s something scary about losing your identity and becoming part of someone else’s plan. That’s what makes it horror, not just the blood or darkness. I can’t wait to see how far this story goes.

Looks creepy! I don’t know much about Tyriq Withers, but I liked him in that “I Know What You Did Last Summer” show. He looks really different here. More serious. Marlon Wayans looks terrifying. I’m not a big horror fan, but if it has a good story, I’ll give it a chance. The trailer made me feel uncomfortable, but in a good way. Like, I want to see what happens to Cam. I just hope it’s not too confusing.

I’ll watch anything Jordan Peele touches. His projects always explore real issues through horror. “Him” looks like it’s about how fame can destroy you from the inside. That’s a scary idea. I like that the main character is an athlete because we usually see horror from normal people’s lives, not sports. Also, using brain trauma as part of the story makes it feel more real. I think it’s brave to go into that topic. It’s sad how athletes are often treated like machines. If this movie shows how that damages them mentally, I’m in. I hope it lives up to the potential.
