I told you you'd see him in a different light this season. I always loved how Methos explained how he was back then, he wasn't even repentant about it, hell he seemed to enjoy telling that to Duncan, "I didn't kill hundreds I killed thousand. I killed tens of thousands. I was death. Death on a horse."

And I think what really made that scene work as well as it did too, was Duncan's reaction to him after that. Like he didn't know him anymore. It was perfect.

The IV Horsemen arc is to Season 5 what the Evil Duncan arc was to Season 4... and that was just aawwweeesome.

I wasn't a fan of Methos until this. Now I understand what everyone was talking about.

Gives him a whole new side to consider, doesn't it? It's like he told Duncan, he was the person that he was, because that was how the world was back then. Sure he could apologize and talk about how much he regrets it (assuming he does), but honestly, what good would it do? Aside from other immortals (like Cassandra) who are old enough to have lived during that time, anyone and everyone who would have had any ties or who could have been, in any way, directly affected by the times a by who Methos was have been dead for thousands of years.

I'm just curious about that Quickening at the end where the powers were flowing back and forth from Duncan and Methos.

Well it's not everyday that there's a double-quickening, let alone one that involves the deaths of what must have been 2 very powerful immortals.

The only thing I'm not too fond of is the sillier episodes which is something I find ALOT of shows do in the later seasons like Buffy, Angel, and Highlander. They are ok and all but I'm all about the serious **** when it comes to these shows. Not really complaining about it but I find it's alot heavier in Season 5 than the previous 4 seasons.

Ep 13 was an odd one with Richie in France pretending to be a millionaire. What I actually liked was that is was different, no fighting, no immortals killing eachother. It was a nice little change after the IV Horsemen arc. But I hope it's back to business soon.

Some of the hardcore fans on the Highlander forums claim the finale for season 5 is garbage which shocks me since alot of fans here said it rocked. Only time will tell but yeah at this point season 5's highlight is the Horsemen.

The only reasons why some people don't like the S5 finale is because of what they had happen in the finale (it was a "OMFG how could you have him do that?!?!?" sort of thing). However, from a drama/storytelling point of view it's a damn-epicly-tragic-awesome one.

Now I'm really looking forward to seeing it. I should be finishing up Season 5 by the weekend.

The dancing episode was dramatic as ****. The guy killing the woman's financee and then coming back many years later, hitting her with the car to end her dancing, AND to top it off going after the daughter...

Watched the first movie in HD... fucking incredible. Easily one of the best movies ever and the quality was brilliant.

just bought a highlander ebook at barnes and nobles ummmm it's the one and only one that methos is a major(ish) chara in the novels .... heehee so awesome <3

Back to the 1st movie on Blu-ray...... it ranks right up there as best blu-ray quality next to the original HalloweeN. They did such a good fucking job, my GOD.

Well think about it this way, for every uber-wicked ep/arc that they have, they're bound to have a super-stinker to "compensate." They have to maintain the balance otherwise Duncan's awesomeness would blow everything to hell and back. :anime:
