These stories were based on the “evidence” that the season cost a ton ($60 million an episode is the final figure) and took an entire year to film, so how could it be short? Also, someone involved said the episodes would be “super-sized.” But someone else said the season would be shorter. Who was right? Thanks to a post from Ross Duffer’s Instagram we now have a definitive answer to this. The length of the four episodes that are premiering this Thanksgiving is….a typical one, about an hour each. The exception is the fourth episode which managed to ALMOST crack 90 minutes.
