Yeah, let's bring up something relevant...

So far, the best independent American tokusatsu stuff we've got is Ultraman Sorta, Battle Hero Absolute, and the now-finished Megabot (an American effort at Super Sentai). If anyone wants to add any other examples, please do.

I'd even add the Godzilla-inspired Raki monster videos by Ohio-based artist/filmmaker Lewis C. Austin and his company, TG2WAC Productions! Here's the teaser for the fourth and most recent video, Raki Vs. Gramuda:

Oh, come now! You have to admit this is a really interesting conversation. This is about American amateur/indie tokusatsu! How could you not discuss something like this?

I liked the monster and design, though. (The filmmakers are also very friendly.) But yeah, it does need quite a bit of polishing, though. But hey, if they don't do it, who will?

Raki is still a billionfold times better than Godzilla X the Kaiju Killer (which I considered to be the Death of Batman of Godzilla fanfilms).

Maybe if this was a thread to discuss Indie Tokusatsu in general, that would be perfect, but it's his thread to raise money for his own project. :sweat:

Am I the only one that finds it pretty... Dumb... That a person wants to make a web series but doesn't have the money to make it, and is depending on donations? Isn't that like a few guys forming a fansub group with no translator?
