Help remembering ANOTHER Toku(?)

Japaneseseriesfan

A simple passerby...
I'm not sure if this was Toku, but I remember when I was a kid, I saw this show where there was the hero who would transform kinda like Kamen Rider and he'd fight a bunch of people from evil organization, but then there's this unique thing about it: Sometimes, the fight scenes turn into CARTOONS.

That's as far as I could remember. I know I pretty much described every show's base description...

I think the main character was a boxer? Or maybe sometimes he fought in a boxing ring? or maybe that was just one episode. Another thing I remember is that there's this showdown moment at a rocky beach, and I don't know I think the villian was his father or something.

so it's live action with animated scenes... what comes to mind is Aizenborg... but that's nowhere near what you described.

VR Troopers? But i think i know what you're talking about. It was kind of like an MMPR spoof, and the red ranger would always forget his beast so while they were in the transformation circle thing, blue would lean over into his and tell him? And red was chubby.

That sounds like Pro-Wrestling Star Aztekaiser (Puroresu no Hoshi Asutekaizaa), produced in 1976 by Tsuburaya Productions and created by none other than Gou Nagai!
